Match Pointers
JIM Vince has warned Witton not to waste Wednesday’s wonder win at Gateshead by slipping up at Guiseley
He locks horns with old pal Steve Kittrick, who switched from Ossett Town to take over the helm at Nethermoor in December.
“If he saw us at Gateshead he’ll be worried,” quipped Vince.
"Guiseley are pushing for a play off place so they’ll be desperate to beat us.
“Plus, when you’ve got a wage budget like they have then there is bound to be a bit of extra pressure on everybody to succeed.”
He is likely to recall Alex Brown to the team for the trip to Yorkshire, which means Dave MacPherson or Rob Lloyd may take a rest. Steve Brodie, outstanding against Gateshead, should keep his place.
Ian Kearney is still struggling with a knock picked up at Prescot a fortnight ago, but he may be included in the matchday squad tomorrow.
Kittrick, who was in the stands at the International Stadium, has promised his team will not lie down against the leaders.
“We will give them a game, no doubt about that,” he said.
"It will be a very tough encounter, probably the hardest of our remaining fixtures because Witton are a very good side.
“They are a footballing team who like a passing game so in a way that will help us.”
He will be forced into at least one change from the team that lost at home to Buxton last weekend as defender James Cotterill starts a two-match ban.
Lee Tuck, on loan from Farsley Celtic, will lead the attack in tandem with top scorer James Hanson.
Guiseley will have to improve on their recent form in front of their own supporters, winning only twice in the past eight encounters, the last of those coming at the end of Janaury.
