Damn1 Rehearsal night, oh well they will just have to win without me!

I’m disappointed we didn’t come home with the win but in hindsight, I’d have happily taken a draw at 2-0.
Well battled today lads, it can’t have been easy playing on that cabbage patch. MoM for me, who else but Titch? Two brilliant goals today. The lad is class.
Play to our potential and we’ll beat Leek on Wednesday, unfortunately I can’t be there.
Good Luck Albion.
I was a bit gutted at the end to only draw but after being 2 down then yes I would have taken a draw too. I don’t believe in making excuses but I have to say that pitch must be a big advantage to Leek, it took us 30 mins to get to terms with it and I think we should be ok once we’re allowed to play football on our own surface. Well done to the lads though for the way they fought back. Quick word for Liam Newman who I think is getting better each game he plays, when your playing aongside a star like Titch every week it must be hard to grab the headlines but he’s chipped in with about a dozen goals now (would probably be top score in most teams) and his all round play for the team is improving week on week. well done Liam.
Agree with what TOF says. He summed the afternoon up well. Pitch was dreadful not much footie could be played. To be fair Leek played to their strengths. Around 450 made a good atmosphere and ONCE AGAIN the Witton support did their bit. Lets hope that Leek bring as many on Wednesday evening? MoM yeh Titch but even he was slowed down by the pitch which would be a challenge for Sprucie and Pete Rob! I would rather play on Belmont Road! SBL
Fantastic character to come back from 2 down. I would also have taken a draw at 2 nil. The dissappointment is to be so close to the victory, but it’s something which will be a lesson for the team and we still get another chance to progress so it’s not all doom and gloom.
Leek must be pleased that they got a draw at home - does anybody have the details of what time the open-topped bus tour starts tomorrow? I don’t want to miss that
Play to your potential on Wednesday boys and we’ll be in the next round.
I think I’d rather play on Chinker’s than Harrison Park!
Belmont is a great pitch now much better than leeks ?, of course the long grass covering a rutted pitch did not help our game, also thought we were a bit complacent early on and gave there no 7 Mcarthy ? a decent player to much room and he punished us, once we got our heads on it we should have won the match, leek only got a sniff when liam came of and we 4 5 1 i guess with the intent to contain them but imo it only let them come onto us and we would have been better simply putting Jamie harrison up top with Titch and keeping our attacking intent, only my opinion but overall settle for a replay always a tricky tie at leek.
Leek is a very hard place get anything from but I tell you what we adapted well.
Newmans goal was incredible, from the build up play to the finish…what a cracking goal, he impressed me yesterday and I feel he will be a prolific goal scorer for us…he has had to adapt to this level after playing a league lower but I feel he is starting to play some great stuff and score some great goals.
Titch was unreal, class goals and non stop energy - best player at Witton for a long time.
To be honest everyone played well and are wearing their shirts with pride.
What impressed me yesterday was how our heads stayed up at two nil down, I always felt that we would still get something as this team is something special and I am enjoying every minute of it!
Roll on Wednesday, we have got to be confident on our own pitch.
Agreed COA Titch and Liam look a very good pair now, think the whole team gels well to be honest but great teams are made of little partnerships between key players and we have several in out team, great to watch and team ethic is magic, think we now miss Josh for 3 games so a chance for someone else to shine ? ps thought Clampitt had a good game yesterday.
In the kingdom of the blind the one eyed man is King. Newman off, Jamie Harrison went to the right and Andrews went up front with Titch. Mom Newman. Hancock suspended for 3 games starting next Saturday v Ossett. All suspensions from premier league to our level are listed on the FA site for all to see under discipline. Not sure what games he misses as the Evo stik press release and our official website( see end of leek match report) appear to contradicte each other on who and when we play in the next few weeks. Also a mcsc semi final to fit in during December v middlewich
a very good result on a pitch not suited to our style of passing football. well done lads, you will surely triumph on wednseday, just give it your usual 110% and we will be in the next round. this team gets better with every game. come on witton.
