a good and workman like performance, this team just keep going for the full 90 minutes. a tough draw in the next round, but this team can pull it off with their endeavour and will to win, not to mention their footballing abilities. come on witton.
It was the result that I fully expected on a decent surface, well done to the boys for a first class job yet again. I noticed on their forum they stopped given updates at 3-1. Having been a follower of Witton for a good few years and having enjoyed many great encounters with Leek over the years I was amazed at such a poor away support, yes they were vocal but how many?? 20?? 25?? Leek used to bring well into 3 figures. they have a really good home average but wow I think even Woodley will boast more than that tonight. Anyway on to Droyslden when yet again we will probably have half the attendance…
My point echoed about the attendance. We did our part at Leek (450 in total wasn’t it)? If they brought 50 tops that was it. Still never mind. The scoreline could have been much greater if great saves hadn’t been made by their keeper, their bar and their RH post! Seems a far stronger division ours. Any views?
Their no 7 wasn’t as effective tonight. Seemed content to try and dribble his way through our team. Well it aint happening with our resiliance. Droylesden next. Can we win? Course we can!!! SBL
I reckon that takes our cup winnings this season to over 20 Grand. Well done everyone. Superb effort (and more to come?)
It is great to win these Cup Ties but only because of the cash it generates for the club, our main objective has to be the league. I do hope we don’t get caught by a fixture pile up as though we have a very good team we are not exactly over-loaded with good replacements if anyone is injured.

Hopefully we have a milder winter this year since we’re already a few games behind the teams above us. Great to have a cup run though.
The pitch looked immaculate last night and the groundstaff deserve a lot of credit for keeping it so.
I have great respect for our ground-staff and the other people who work behind the scenes which is why I always tried to give them a mention in the programme. They are a great bunch and we should be VERY proud of them.
