The FA Challenge Cup 3rd Qualifying Round Tie between Marine & Northwich Victoria, has been postponed following an investigation by the FA into Northwich Victoria.
Surely a fine club like jrFC wont have done anything naughty?
Charged with fielding an ineligible player in the previous round.
So they should be kicked out.
Apparently the goalkeeper was ineligible to play against Hyde.
He also played in their first FA Cup game at Wincham Park against AFC Blackpool, the night before we beat Farsley.
Will the FA claim the prize money (£5000) back?
The FA will surely be losing patience with them, but it is partly their fault they are still in existence so I’m sure everything in Jim’s world will be absolutely tickety boo…
Not concerned about JRFC so long as they keep paying the rent. We need to get our our own house in order starting with the appointment of a manager.
FA decision expected on Monday.
Why is anyone interested?
Yes, I am interested! If they loose their prize money that they have received, this could impact their ability to pay their rent, which could lead us to having to kick them out. This could then impact on our playing budget for this season.
We all know that Mr Rushe will not be reliant on prize money to pay the rent…
Confirmation that Northwich Victoria have been charged with fielding an ineligible player in the FA Challenge Cup. The FA hearing will take place on Wednesday.
Following an FA enquiry held today, Northwich Victoria are allowed to continue in the FA Challenge Cup, The FA have found them guilty on all counts but instructed them to replay the game against Hyde this Saturday, with Hyde keeping the gate receipts. The winners will then play Marine. Northwich also forfeit the prize money from the Blackpool game which instead will go to AFC Blackpool. Saturday’s replayed game is to be played to a conclusion.
cant believe they’ve not been kicked out, they fielded the player twice.a little rushe backhander to the fa must’ve helped their cause mooney
What a joke. We got kicked out of the doodson cup a couple of years ago for the exact same thing! How does he get away with it?
It really is quite shocking and disgusting what they keep on getting away with. Every time they come up smelling if roses it’s a slap in the face to honest well run sustainable football clubs.
With the likes of Blatter, Platini and the rest of the cronies running world football a decision like this is hardly surprising at our level. Disgrace it may be but football lost its sole along time ago, unfortunately.
Excellent news for the social club, mind.
Not really Noel, as the game will be away if it’s played.
