Nantwich Town v. Witton Albion

Admission Prices confirmed as follows:

Adults: £11, Concessions(Over 60’s): £8, Under 16’s: £3.

Witton look to extend their unbeaten run to six games in all competitions when they travel to Cheshire neighbours Nantwich Town in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture on Saturday afternoon.

The game is Albion’s second visit to the Swansway Stadium this season following their victory in the Cheshire Senior Cup earlier in the campaign.

The Dabbers ran out comfortable winners in the league meeting at the U Lock It Stadium, netting four times in a very disappointing night for Witton who only had a consolation goal to show for it.

Paul Carden’s team can now concentrate on the league following their exploits in the Isuzu FA Challenge Trophy, which saw them reach the fourth round before bowing out at National League Solihull Moors.

They returned to league action in midweek with a narrow 1-0 win at home to Chasetown, their third successive league game in which they had kept a clean sheet and will be hoping to continue in that vain.

Witton have the chance to climb into the play off places if they can overcome their neighbours in what could prove to be a tough encounter but, maintaining their recent form will be the most important aspect for Jon Macken’s charges.

Players on both sides will be familiar to both sets of supporters, depending on availability due to injuries and suspensions but games between the two sides are always keenly contested affairs.

Kick off at the Swansway Stadium this 3pm.

Two possible claims for penalties for the Albion, one in particular where Dabbers keeper Scott Moloney took out Albion striker Joe Duckworth but neither were given. Connor Hughes also went closest for the Albion whilst Paddy Kay & former Witton striker Callum Saunders had chances for the Dabbers.

Not good, front three complete no show today.

Referee was shocking, worst I’ve seen in a long time.
