Witton kick off the new season with a new management team, a new playing squad and in a new division when they travel to Newcastle Town on Saturday in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.

Only midfielder Josh Paterson remains with the club from last season and manager Jon Macken has assembled a squad with fifteen new signings, a mix of youth and experience that has shown promising things during pre season.

Newcastle Town are managed by former Port Vale midfielder Robin Van der Laan and finishing sixteenth in the league last season losing ten games at home, so will want to improve on that this time around.

It will obviously take time for the Albion side to blend together but, they will be looking to make a positive start to the season in what could prove to be a tough encounter.

Kick off at Lyme Valley Park is 3pm.

Directions: Merge onto M6 (South) and follow for 18.4 miles. At junction 15, take the A500 exit to Stoke - on -Trent/Stone/Derby/A50. Parts of this road maybe closed at certain times or on certain days. Continue for 0.4 miles. At Hanchurch Interchange, take the 1st exit onto Newcastle Road/A519. Continure to follow A519 for 0.6 miles. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Clayton Road/A519 and continue for 0.7 miles. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Stafford Avenue and follow for 0.2 miles. Turn left onto Tittensor Road and follow for 0.2 miles. Continue onto Buckmaster Avenue for for 246 ft. Turn right and continue for 0.2 miles to football stadium.

Parking: The Car Park is outside the stadium but please be aware that it does fill up quite quickly due to visitors using the nearby park.

Team news: Debuts galore for Jon Macken’s new look side. Mike Koral & Prince Haywood make their second debuts for the club whilst Joshua Paterson, the only remaining member of last season’s squad starts on the bench alongside Danny Adigun, who returns for his second spell. Loan signing from Oldham Athletic Vani Da Silva is amongst the substitutes. Striker Will Igoe is not involved.
