If we do not go up this season it is very unlikely we will next seasom either with Bradford and probably FC United coming into our league with pots of money and big gates. I believe Witton Albion are cursed and we need a White Witch to take the curse off, anyone know one? (Joking) But the number of times our team seems to shoot itself in the foot is becoming unbelievable.

Yes everyone is disapointed but come on we are still in the play offs and the stage is set. If we do not go up we will just improve next year on what we have got now which is great team for this level.

I don’t think now is the time to be moaning and getting down. The players need SUPPORT not people saying we’re not going up or losing faith. Yes we seem to have ballsed it up but we could still go up. Come on, if you wanna have a moan after the play-off’s then go for it but now isn’t the time.
We are in a very very similar situation to Telford this time last year - lets hope it ends the same way.

For the second season running we have missed out on automatic promotion on the final day of the season. Add to that that the demise of Vics has not happened, nor have they been relegated as looked ceratin a few weeks ago. I do think that I, and many other Wittoners are entitled to feel depressed given those facts. Yes, I hope we do it in the play offs but please allow me and others to have our doubts, Gateshead are going to be as difficult to beat as Telford were last season, and that’s if we get that far. The team has performed superbly for two seasons but no one can deny that it has failed when push came to shove. I have no idea why this is, if I did I could tell Mr. Vince and he could sort it out. Finally if I do bore you, just don’t read my bloggs.

The players have had nothing but support from the fans all season. Maybe its time for a few homes truths to try to get them interested in winning on Tuesday. They cocked it up, now sort it out! We deserve better.
This post is to those supporters who have criticised the team recently and not aimed at the fantastic supporters who have totally backed our team this year through the high and lows. Ok now then I have had enough of this poor negative feedback its doing nobody any good, if you have something to say please be constructive. For years the club has been an average team and not winning trophies. Every season supporters have paid their money hoping for glory and be part of a winning team. Well look what’s happened over the last few seasons, our team has challenged for the title two years running, the clubs reputation has been enhanced both on and off the field and that’s all down to hard work by all concerned. We have punched above our weight against teams with massive budgets and given a good account of ourselves, we have just fallen short two season running. I have bitten my lip over the accusations of the players saying they didn’t try and that is absolutely scandalous. Those supporters who want to have a go at the players pay their money so they are entitled to it but let me inform you of some constructive feedback, your talking rubbish. The team has lost five games all season in the league; I will say it again just those who have had a go at the team can be sure of what I have said five games. Now any other season the club would have been promoted and I guess the people who are having a go would not because they would have had something else to comment on. We are all passionate about our club and nobody is prouder of the team than me but football has an uncanny knack of not turning out the way you expect. The team did not go out and mean to under perform on Saturday. The team did not want to lose the game so they wouldn’t get promoted. The defenders did not let Worsop score the goals intentionally, our players make mistakes and so do I. Our performance was poor and our defending was terrible and we got what we deserved, nothing. But anyone who doubts the team desire maybe you should have been in the dressing room after the game. The players were devastated. Now please stop moaning, stop having a go at a team and be useful, get behind the players and let’s see if we can get promoted. Note for the Albion Tea Hut, the players deserve better……… If you are so passionate about our team and want to talk to me and air your views, I am always available to listen to you after the game. I think it’s amazing how the team are almost becoming a victim of their own near success! 2 seasons ago we could only dream about the play offs and now some people are being hugely unfair on the team because they haven’t won the league!! We have a special core of players here at our club, if fans and players pull together for the final 6 days of the season, these lads will get the chance to show what they can really do in a proper football league.
Lets raise the roof on Tuesday!

I never fail to be amazed at the negativity of some people.
Get behind Jim and the Lads or shut up/stop typing until it’s all over.

It hurts that we haven’t gone up as champions after leading the league for so long. But the fact is we didn’t pick enough points up from New Years onwards. Any other season and our points total would still have been enough - it just wasn’t to be.
Full credit and immense respect to Fleetwood. When they went to Gateshead and lost, their fans were calling for their manager to be sacked. Look how things turned out for them!!
By the same token, keep the faith with Jim and our team. It is better that we get a performance like that out of our system last Saturday, rather than tomorrow or Saturday coming.
The lows this season have been crushing lows. There is still time for one final, massive, immense, unbelievable high though.

Funnily enough that’s exactly what I said to my 9 year old son late on in Saturday’s game…hope it turns outto be true.
