I know its only a friendly but anyone doing updates?
update from the game…
We are 1 down to a penalty on 19 minutes
Gate estimated at 200ish
just about half time and still 0-1
update on the gate - 130
sounds like there is no atmosphere and no appetite for the game from supporters of either side
It was 1-1 at 9 o’clock Lugsdon the scorer (Apologies for probably spelling mistake)
Lost 2-1 it turns out
Perhaps our last ever game against Vics?
1-2 dull game really can see why both sides are in the relegation places 5 trialist in our side tonight all the best for the rest of the season lets hope we can finish ours:(
Cheerio
Not a bad performance from Albion definately the better side. But Northwich were very poor. Awful penalty decision in the first half. Greg came out claimed the ball with the Vics player tumbling over him afterward. Goal came against the run of play. Lugsden scored a deserved equaliser after he squandered a golden opportunity to level it minutes before. Cross to the far post was headed down by Booth and Lugsden finished. Albion attacked Vics’ goal but lacked a killer instinct in front of goal. Albion took off Booth, Scott, and Dunn in preperation for Saturday, on came, Schwarz, Dunne, and King. Loss of Booth showed as Northwich broke away on the counter and rounded Smith to win the game. Tommo missed a sitter right at the death to level things up.
Danny Warner looks class at left back. Paul Booth I’m becoming a big fan of too. Of all the people who have played alongside Pritch at centre back this season he is the only one who has played as well if not better than him. Neil Black is always looking lively up front and Mark Smyth looked backed to his best tonight and had the better of their right back. If we can just survive this season I’m sure Gary can get us nearer the play offs next season. If we started the season with this squad we wouldnt be near the bottom for sure.
We might just get something on Saturday.
Up the Albion
Pretty well spot on Danny boy !
Excellent report of the game Danny.
It must be pointed out that although pre-match, Steve King insisted on playing this as a normal game, Vics brought 2 teams to the game.
They played one side for the 1st half, and except for a couple of players, played their 1st team for the second half, using over 20 players for the tie.
Taking this into consideration, a very good workout for our team, for which the players and management can take great credit from their performance.
All very valid points, I thought we looked a lot fitter, we played as a unit and the passing was good, all in all I thought it was a good performance and If we can keep it up we can look forward to some better results in the league.
Dont know if Greg was carrying a knock or somehing his kicking was poor and at times he seemed to struggle to get across his goal, most unusual for him.
Yes,good performance from our lads. You wouldn’t have seen it 6 weeks ago.
how far the team has come eh?:cheer:
But we are still on the bottom:(
Yep, report spot on Danny. Good run out ahead of saturdays game.

In that case, how come you would have picked both Dunne and Schwartz ahead of Pritch for the Leigh game?!
We were more than capable of beating leigh with them in the side since we have them in the squad would be worth giving them a run out they may improve given a couple of games. Pritch or booth got injured we are screwed. Schwarz in particular was decent earlier in the season. A certain ex player told me pritch didnt appreciate my support and said i only criticise the team. So he aint my favourite player n e way
So in a relegation 6-pointer that could potentially help decide our season, you’d give players a ‘run out’ on the off chance that they may improve in the future?
he also asked this player to stop giving me comps. He probably doesnt understand petrol from manchester is a tenner at least return. I buy a programme, 2 beers, food, and do predictions. Thats around £22 per game with a comp. £12 of it going to witton. Sorry but i aint rich. So a comp was handy when offered 4 a while. I know fans who pay their entry fee and buy nothing inside so it beats that…
But what has any of that got to do with team selection? You’ve said above that nobody has performed better in defense than Pritch this season.
Dodger comes from Sandbach, he doesn’t get comps. People put £500 of their own money in over the summer, they don’t get comps. Following football at this level is about putting your hand in your pocket, if you don’t then the teams don’t survive.
