Agree Toneee.
WHS, how can you even consider kicking Runcorn out in favour of Vics, even if we are going to get more money from Vics?
If we were to do that we would be worse than Vics. When they were sharing with us they constantly had a go about our ground and about us, and if I remember correctly, they provided their own food and drink and so we didn’t get much, if any, money from that.
Runcorn should stay, and who cares if Vics can’t find anywhere to play in Northwich. I certainly don’t.
Thomas you are absolutely spot on!!!
Thank God,it restores my faith in human kindness amidst the cut throat world we are living in.

well said v18
KFC.
Bit harsh on u WHS. Considering some of these people saying keep runcorn are unhappy with our current financial situation, are they not? I cant believe some stuff i read on here. First of all, Runcorn were wanting to move closer to home, as soon as they could a short time ago werent they? I dont the ins n outs and how much of a difference it would make financially, but im guessing a significant one! My concern is ONLY witton, if it will help improve the financial situation then, I would be biting vics hands off. We are not in a strong enough financial situation to turn it down.
anybody else heard the rumour that Vics have asked for an emergergency meeting with our board to discuss coming to WP?
heard on good authority that yes they have approached witton, but not about comeing to wincham park, but us going to the dark side.
TONEE, there is NO chance of that happening, the ground is far too big and hardly any Witton supporters would ever go there, I went once, but that was to watch Mid-Cheshire Boys team. If Witton don’t want to lose their core support they should stop this rumour right now. Vics NEED us, we don’t NEED them, they will be defunct if things go on as they are, we might get relegated, but we won’t go bust.
WHS.
Here is a prediction. Vics will cease to exist before Christmas.
WHS.
Don’t care about Vics, but if we did the dirty on Runcorn I would be gone like a shot, this is non-league, Runcorn have been great tennants, I hope they get home soon, but until then they have probably been our saviour.
Runcorn have been excellent agreed, and more grateful than those scummers.
you make your own luck, and 1 day crossing so many people catches up with you. good ridance if ot does happen. Meanwhile - lets concentrate on keeping ourselves up.
Anymore news on that score? I am certain in my own mind that in the next few days we will hear they have “gone to the wall.” God, who will we have to laugh at then?
WHS.
They are looking for the Council to re-house them now.
I’m not sure the Council will be able to help on that one. They are too busy trying to find bases for their own troops as a result of Local Government Review to worry about a homeless football club. I have heard that the players havn’t been paid for a couple of weeks now and that whats left of their management structure are in talks with the albs over a possible amalgamation with the home ground being that unfinished, unlit park on the darkside. Surely if things are left alone we will have only one team in Northwich. History has a habit of repeating itself and for those of you fans that can remember was it or was it not Northwich Vics that objected to the albs joining the Cheshire League. Why should we bail out a club that quite clearly on its last legs with no cash or assets to offer…
Correction…it was the Northern Premier League and not the Cheshire league that they objected to Witton joining…
just been on there web site and they now begining to admit they are doomed and they either want to come to wicham park to play or almagamate i think the time has come
Sorry for being stupid, but is amalgamation where US and THEM would effectively become one team?
Yes it is and it will never happen. There will ALWAYS be a Witton Albion in whatever way shape or form it may take on.
Agreed, if amalgamation happens then we’ll just have to start FC Witton of Albion!!!
