"That ground was built for NORTHWICH. Changing the name of The Danebank wouldn’t make it our home. You can call a knife a fork but its still a knife "
Liverpool took over Everton’s ground and it didn’t work out too badly for them…

Two of the World’s most successful club sides have shared a stadium for 60 years, AC Milan and Inter!
Any decisions over what we do and where we go have to be made with robust commercial plans that ensure long term sustainability for this football club.
Whatever league we can play in there is a realistic number of fans that will come and watch; Unibond say 400 (although where are many of these now), BSN again maybe 550 and BSP 650/700. In each instance gate receipts will barely cover the playing budget to compete in each league. Therefore, we need a facility where the off the pitch revenues support the club, social club takings, renting the facility, 5-a-side pitches maybe, community use, etc.
If the Marston’s Arena could be bought in a ‘fire sale’ and owned by this football club (with a ready made tenant) and income stream, then it has to be worth looking at. We could sell our land, buy this and put money in the bank! If we sell an rebuild we don’t have the ability to make a good job of it and could end up with something nowhere near as good as Wincham Park. Who is going to manage any new build, we have part time voluntary administration and this would be a major project (that could cost significantly more than buying a ready made alternative).
It is the cub we support, not the bricks and mortar.
To be honest I think the whole sporting and leisure facilities in Northwich needs to be addressed.
Moss farm is dying, its a dinosaur of a place that needs flattening and rebuilding with input from ALL sporting bodies in the area.
The only way/place to get ant sort of stadia in Northwich would be there and on Winnington Parks land aswell, it just needs someone who can think outside of the box to design it.
