O dear, v#cs part two.

reading between the lines, i think v#cs have a cash flow problem.

just copied the following message off the guardian website.

Telford: Vics should pay up cup cash
9:25pm Thursday 11th December 2008

VICS’ FA Cup conquerors claim they are owed cash by the troubled Blue Square Premier club.

AFC Telford United say they have asked the Football Association to help them get their share of gate receipts from matches between the two teams in October.

“Jim Rushe has not responded to my calls once,” said Bucks chairman Lee Carter.

“The FA are now involved and amazingly Vics haven’t responded to them either.”

The Guardian has contacted the FA to check Carter’s claim, although the game’s governing body has yet to respond.

The competition’s rules state that prior to the third round, net gate receipts should be split equally between the two clubs.

Northwich owe Telford a four-figure sum, according to the Blue Square North club.

“It’s not a case of us needing the money,” added Carter.

“However, if they were doing this to a club that did then it could be the difference between that club trading and going under.”

He also took a swipe at the transfer activity of Vics boss Steve King, who has brought in four players on permanent deals – three others on loan, since he took over as manager at the start of November.

Carter reckons that is proof enough that Vics have the money to give Telford their cut of the gate money.

“When I read in the non-league press about how Northwich are signing this player and that player I realise they are taking us for mugs,” he said.

Vics lost 3-0 to Telford in a rearranged tie after their original meeting was abandoned at half time when a generator providing electricity to the Marston’s Arena failed.

Telford’s official website says a four-figure crowd attended both matches.

Presumably the Scum think Telford helped wear out the generator and should put their share of the gate to this.

Just spent an hour reading some of the posts on their forum, iv got to say I feel sorry for some of the fans. There seems to be a split developing between the supporters club and the trust, it cant be an easy decision which to pledge their money to when things are as bad as they are over there. One post said that with other debts and taxs owing they will have to find £190,000 at the end of Dec, doesn`t look good for them.

Although I am no lover of the v*cs I hate to hear of the demise of any football club, especially a local one, at the hands of so called successful businessmen, ( or crooks) whichever hat fits.

V*cs Who?:stuck_out_tongue:

I quite agree stu. Both Witton and V**s have a long and proud history and I wouldn’t want Scum’s demise. My Christmas wish is for them to play in North west counties league which would shut up some of their arrogant fans. Most of their supporters are ok.
Yep,I don’t want Scum to die but brought down a rung or four.

its rumoured that some of the v#cs fans, are quite good natured, and pleasant to speak too.

its only rumoured tho, yet to be comfirned.:stuck_out_tongue:

I have to agree Tonnee, most are just misguided. If they had been brought up properly they would of course be Wittoners so I blame the parents.
WHS.

They had parents?

Believe thay had to call the game off at the swamp today :stuck_out_tongue:

they have had their last three home games postponed because of the weather.

Can we hire out Hippo at £1000 per hour?

Why don’t u take Hippo for a walk over to the dark side to help on their pitch preparations Toneee…

" Can we hire out the hippo at £1000 an hour "

Whats the point, we wouldnt get paid !!!

the plot thickens. 15-12-2008

THE FA has asked Vics to explain why they haven’t handed over cash to their FA Cup conquerors.

The game’s governing body today confirmed it had been asked to help AFC Telford United get their share of gate receipts from matches between the two teams earlier this season.

The Bucks say they are owed more than £3,000.

“We have received a complaint,” said FA spokesman Matt Phillips.

“Now we are waiting for a response from Northwich Victoria.”

So are Telford.

On Thursday chairman Lee Carter accused his counterpart Jim Rushe of not responding to his calls.

He then called on the FA to mediate.

The competition’s rules state that prior to the third round, net gate receipts should be split equally between the two clubs.

Vics lost 3-0 to Telford in a rearranged tie in October after their original meeting was abandoned at half time when a generator providing electricity to the Marston’s Arena failed.

Telford’s official website says a four-figure crowd attended both matches.

what a bl##dy hole they are digging for them selves.

Didn’t someone say on here a while ago that vics might not make it to Christmas? Looks like that may well be the case. Oh I love being right, it happens so infrequently!!!
WHS.

Would Hippo help them avoid liquid-ation?

If it could don’t lend it them!! My money is on the £18,000 that the Vics Supporters Trust has will not go to Mr. Rushe and that Vics will reform in the North West Counties next season. Where they will play is anybody’s guess, but Barnton or Middlewich might be okay for them in that league. Personally I wolud be against letting them ground share with us but finacially it would make sense.
WHS.

Beaten 2-0 at home by York in FA Trophy so no money coming in from that competition. I wonder if they will give York their share of the gate?
The are like a dinosaur that has been shot in the head, they are dead but their intelligence is just too small to register it yet. Message to Vics fans, hang onto your cash, start again in the North West Counties. If you give Rushe your money your club will disappear for ever, if you hang onto the £20,000 or so you have it will at least give you a start.
WHS.

Looks like they are now in a deeper mess - their ground has been locked up today.

Presumably the administrators will get the keys and let them in again - but its hassle they can do without when they are at home on Saturday.

there is nothing to say that everything will still be in place to let the game go ahead - must be a few squeaky bums on t’other side of the canal !
