Guys, at the risk of repeating myself in the first instance we HAVE to stick to the target on this thread.
Its fantastic that people are looking at other ways of helping, but the people who have pledged their donation so far have done it unconditionally, with all of the money going direct to the playing budget.
Abrill, and anyone else, seperately, please do support Len’s 200 club to the tune of £100 or whatever you can afford. With the 200 (hopefully plus) club, 50 per cent of the money raised is paid in prize money and 50 per cent goes to the Development Fund budget.
Andy - I think what Abril is suggesting is that for every £50 donated to the " FUND " one gets a go in Lens 200 Draw so giving a chance to win something back.
Anyway it is a bit slow on ELI’S SYNDICATE today so come on guys & dolls young & old get those pledges in ( none so far today ).

It’s basically like a lottery. The idea is that 200 people (ish!!) pay £10 to enter at the start of the season, and then there is a monthly draw for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes - which are cash amounts.
Hopefully this year we will get more then 200 people paying in @ £15 each, which will increase the contribution that can be made to the Development Fund.
I agree with Andy.
It should be a separate fund raiser separate from Len’s as it gives yet another opportunity to make money for the team.
May be as Thatch suggests,board might want to consider giving 500club contributors shares in the club.
Whilst not a bad idea Thatch/Vj - there are unfortunatley no further shares available at this time as they have all been paid for up to the authorised capital.

Having spoken to Andy, we have decided to keep the 200+ club as a separate fund raiser, and I will leave it until the meeting on the 29th May to start it off
This then gives Andy time to try and get the 20 pledges in which at this moment in time is the top priority
