Couldn’t make the info meeting as we were on holiday.
Eli,
I have another £50 from the auction of the 1992 Wenbley programme, thanks to some great bidding by Vijay.
Can it wait for the 1st Friendly, or do you want me to pass the money over in some other way?
Just as an aside, I also included a signed copy of the June 1992 Team Talk magazine, as it had a big article on Witton, and also several pictures of our semi-final win over Marine. One of the pictures of Carl Alford shows a Mr Nige Deeley in the crowd, watching the match!
A true Wittonner!
Nice one TT - U can give to Andy or Neil or wait until first friendly whatever suits.
Pledging seems to have dried up a bit.
No time for complacency, lets give Nige and Andy all the support we can.
With quotes for the pitch work @ £4k & floodlighting @ £2k we’ll need everyone to dig deep…

Can i take it there will be an increase in Runcorn’s ground rent which will offset some of these impending costs then
Could well be Paul, but that’s up to the Chairmen.
However, this does not stop you Linnet’s fans from pledging towards the cost!
i think you will find the linnets fans feel they have given enough to the last two seasons’ promotion pushes for Witton, a lot of linnets fans are now finding it a chore travelling to wincham park, and are waiting for the club to come home.

Sorry Paul, I didn’t mean to rub you up the wrong way. My comment was meant to be “tongue in cheek”. We very much appreciate Linnets sharing our ground, and the money generated to keep things like our pitch in good order.
Hope you have a good season next year, and although we will miss you, best of luck in funding your own ground back in Runcorn.
Here here, you have been perfect tenants at all times and whilst clearly we completely understand your desire to have your own ground, you will be welcome at Wincham Park until this time comes. All of the linnets fans I have come into contact with have been a thoroughly decent bunch of people.
This may be a suggestion for another post but I think it would be a good gesture on the part of both clubs to stage a pre-season friendly at Wincham Park (as it currently home ground for us both), perhaps in the final week before the season. I feel sure that resepective fans would each be interested in watching the other side and may help promote them coming to watch the other one when they are away from home! A good chance to share a few pints and talk about the season ahead.
Just a throught, would anyone else be interested in this?
Rabbit, I think I’m right in saying that we should’ve been playing Runcorn Linnets pre-season at Wincham Park but from what I’ve heard this game has now been put off because of necessary groundwork taking place before the season.
Perhaps someone can correct me on that, if I’m mistaken.
