Our Football Club - Our Future

On the pledges side, it would be nice if we can get the barometer/thermometer on the home page updated, so anybody logging on will see it grow. Also, on this topic, can we update the banner on the home page, to get rid of references to Crowe, Warlow etc.?

I appreciate if it can’t be done straight away, as I know some of you ADMIN guys are very busy trying to stabalise our club at the moment.

The programme editors job has been filled - I’m unsureif its for public release yet though (although I’m pretty sure its not a big secret!)

As for the pledges - hopefully an update will follow soon.

This post was originally set up to support our previous manager and his plans to retain the squad from last season. That subject is dead, but the need to augment the playing budget and support Nigel’s aims and ambitions remains a priority.

To that end, can anyone who has pledged monies either via the forum or to me,Neil etc contact me to let me know their intentions please, we have an account set up now and need to know the level of support we can expect.

Andy Chad

A " pledge " is a solemn promise or undertaking !

Yes but the goalpost’s moved Eli - and I wouldn’t want anyone to offer to donate/pledge:) for something which later altered.

Personally it doesn’t affect my stance, if anything it gives me more resolve.

But once again noone should be obligated.

Is that Peter Noone from Hermans Hermits ?

Andy - I have £900 still to be collected and have every faith that I will do so.

Excellent-spk sn Eli

Ok after a bit of tooing and frowing we have now gone about setting a bank account up.
I don’t want to publish the details here but if you are in the syndicate please contact Eli who knows the details and if you have otherwise pleadged myself/Chad will be in touch soon.
If you have pledged to Eli however and want to speak to me or Chad - you’re more than welcome to do so!

thanks for the support of everyone who has pledged thus far.

Onwards and upwards - together.

The account is now fully operational and we have £4371 alreasy banked and several pledges still to come. Many thanks to those who have already handed over their money.

If you’re reading this and have yet to make a pledge (and are in a position to do so)please consider offering your support at this crucial time in the clubs history.

If you would like to discuss where it goes and why the money is need please speak to myself or Andy Chad.

A further update will follow.

Just to follow on from Neil’s post - We have undertaken to aim to raise £15,000 this season though fund raising activities, Social Events, Coaches, Donations etc.

The bulk of this money will be used just to augment the club’s playing budget, and is vital to give Nigel and his team the resources with which to compete with other teams in this league.

As Neil says if you can help in any way, be it by donating, organising a social event, helping and supporting our activities, or coming up with a blindingly good idea then please contact us (I am away until the Prescot game).

We will look to have a meeting for all donators and interested parties in the next few weeks where full details of the financials and objectives will be made available.

Andy

Thanks very much to all who contributed to “Eli’s Consortium” , just a couple to come so the total should be £1320. Splendid effort everyone.

It is not too late for anyone who has not PLEDGED , see Neil in the Club Shop.

OPTIMA TUA AGE

Eli who?

Seriously, an amazing effort on your behalf. Give us another 10 Eli’s, and we will have EliEliEliELiELIELIELIELIELIELI who?

Just a reminder, if anyone, previous or otherwise can contribute (time/money/support) to the Development Fund then please see me/Neil or Pete Lyon at any of the forthcoming games.

Its early days but you (the Supporters) are already ensuring that Nigel has a 20 per cent bigger budget than he would otherwise have. That believe me is the difference between us being competitive and not.

Lets make sure that despite the personnel changes, it still remains our club and we should be proud of it.

So in using the FA Cup coach, joining Len’s 200 Club, having a go at the predictions, and supporting Robbo’s race night you are contributing directly to the team.

Onwards and Upwards

Andy

We will be updating supporters with an information sheet at the turnstiles on Saturday, in it we will show our aims and achievements in relation to donations this season, before we do that, there are a couple of people who pledged on the forum but whom we haven’t heard from.

Can Greenie and Mike Gandy if they read this please let me know whether they are still looking to make a contribution at the level they have suggested please (I have sent PMs but heard nothing back.)

Thanks

The homepage of the website is now updated, and will be updated monthly in relation to the target of £15,200.

I went around the ground on Saturday and gave Circa 150 information sheets out detailing where we are up to.

If anyone wants a copy then either PM me or e-mail me at:-

andrew.chadwick@kingspanpanels.com

and I’ll forward you a copy on.

Just to follow on from Neil’s post - We have undertaken to aim to raise £15,000

The homepage of the website is now updated, and will be updated monthly in relation to the target of £15,200.

i take it the extra £200 is due to the stock market crash last week.?:stuck_out_tongue:

Indeed inflation is rife!

Money is tight but I am sure we will get there in the end. I wish I could put in a few thousand, but I will continue to make small, regular donations, at least a fiver a week, anyone else want to join in, £1 for every point won, or say £5 for a win £3 for a draw.
