Yeah Dave course we are, you gimp!! Cos Droylesden were so fantastic last season relegated before Christmas. hahaha you absolute loser Dave:P
Haha “Dave Jones” another pseudonym, like “Jim Robertson” or “Billy(1 mate)”, lets face it, yes he is a good player, very good player but, 2. he is only interested in himself, there is no ‘I’ in team only 'me, me, me ’

Why oh why do we have to bite every time… just let it go.
You wanna write something then why not write an open letter to the Northwich Guardian praising the work that GE did for Witton and that we are lost if he doesn’t reconsider his resignation?
Failing that, use your writing hand to fill out a form for the 200 Club or a Season Ticket application.
Just let the players leave. They will all be replaced with lads that want to be here, and Witton will move on.
Hey Robbo, I have got to admit that you post the most sensible messages on this forum.
Have you ever thought about taking up writing, as a hobby, and eventually becoming an author?
I am not joking, I think you have a talent, and it should be explored to its’ full potential.
Even if you only gathered all the posts you have made on this forum, and put some explanation of the issue you were talking about at the time, I think would make great reading.
Keep up the good work
Brownhill never wanted a dream move to Alti unfortunately the witton board scuppered his move to league football back in January, and then tried to do him out of moving on this season, he has now moved to droylsden who will be a promotion chasing club next season and with a season at a higher standard…who knows where it will take him and the same goes for Warlow, Peers, Brown, Coo and Kennedy all moved on to clubs with bright futures…unfortunately for Wittion the future is not so bright at the moment maybe one day it will be.
i just hope the players joining the club understand what the board of the club is really like!!
how can u say thats not ambitious when there a league aboove witton!! explain plz??? do u have a clue about football or u 1 of those inbreads that just loves slating people!!
Liam,
Best of luck to you, hope it all works out for the best. I can safely say you never gave less than 100% in a Witton shirt and that is to be applauded.
Billy Bullsh1tt3r, Shouldn’t you be in Halifax??
Billy should be at Halifax, but he’s too far stuck up Vinces’ rear to get anywhere close.
Good luck Liam, hope you manage to do well in the future. Although it leaves us with one less player, oh well nevermind eh?
To be fair, it all depends on how Liam defines ‘ambition’. Droylsden is a small Club with a small fanbase. They are fortunate to have a backer in Dave Pace, but in return for his backing he also runs the Club to his own ends.
Yes they are in a higher league to Witton, and yes they could be back in the BSP in a season’s time. They wont stay there though!
So how good does Liam think he is as a player? Does he think his ability warrants nothing more than BSN football at a small Club? Considering a league Club came in for him in January, does he not feel confident that the same Club would still be interested? Or at least an established BSP team? Or has it been Liam’s life-long ambition to play for Droylsden?
Or maybe it’s his ambition to enjoy his football? Afterall it’s a short career, and a wrong-turn at this stage could set him back years. Did he not enjoy his football at Witton? Did he not enjoy the adulation of the fans? Did he not finish up on the winning team more often than not? Did he not get England recognition? Did he not attract the interest of league clubs?
I’d apply the same logic to Adam Warlow. Scored a ridiculous amount of goals in his 2 season’s at Witton - did he not feel that he could of joined a higher-placed Club than Fleetwood? Again, league and BSP clubs rumoured to be interested during January last year. But at least Fleetwood are a well-backed ambitious Club with an excellent fanbase.
Does Liam still have ambitions to play in the football league? Or does his ambition now amount to stepping up just one level? Baring in mind what Liam has acheived over the last 12 months whilst at Witton, where is the proof that playing for Droylsden will increase his prospects of being spotted by a league side? He was a big fish in the Witton team, where’s his guarantee that he’ll even get into the side at Droylsden? In 6 months time he could be sat in the stand wishing he was still playing for Witton and getting the recognition that he had worked so hard for.
Fair play to Liam, he has become a fantastic leftback. But he only started playing at leftback when he couldn’t get into the team at rightback - his natural position… Witton could have dumped him at that point; that they didn’t, and that he has become such a fantastic leftback, is to everyone’s benefit. Although perhaps not as much to Witton’s financial benefit as it could have been…
I wish Liam well at Droylsden, and i hope that his ambitions are realised - whatever they may be. I wish he had given Witton 1 more season, but i’m sure like the rest iof us he had his heart set on no longer being in the Unibond - but we will continue to follow Witton regardless of the league that they play in (so does this mean that WE aren’t ambitious?!), and we’ll continue to carry ambitions of Witton gaining promotion (E I E I E I O…!!!). Liam has an opportunity, and therefore he can’t be expected not to take it. Whether it will be the right move for him, only time will tell.
But it’s a funny thing ambition, and it’s all relevant. I always understood ambition to be the desire to be the best that you possibly can. Does Liam think that Droylsden is the best he could possibly do? Personally i think that he can do better…
Best of luck Liam - and keep in touch.
An interesting thing isn’t it, this ambition?
Ambition is always a motivating factor no matter what your career is. However, it seemed written in the stars that Liam Brownhill would move to Alty once he freed himself from his Witton contract. The fact is, that “dream” move never materialised - whilst Liam was biding his time, they signed someone else. That’s football.
So from being motivated to leave Witton by the promise of BSP football at his local team he suddenly found himself between a rock and a hard place. No longer a Witton player, bridges burned here and seemingly nowhere to go. A new motivating factor shows itself - FEAR. Fear of not having a club, and fear of looking like an idiot as a result.
But alas, here comes the knight in shining armour to point him in the direction of Droylsden. Obviously I can’t name names so lets call this Knight “Sir Billy”. So Liam gets his ego massaged by Sir Billy and gets fixed up at Droylsden on more money at a higher level.
I have a suspicion that his ambitions lie much higher, but he has settled for Droylsden rather than take the risk of having nothing.
I don’t think he will settle for Droylsden for long…
right my decision to join droylsden!!!
i just want to put ur minds at piece, i have decided to join droylsden because when i met the manager there ambitions met mine!! i wanted to play for a team that is going to be chaseing promotion nxt season and playing exciteing football which suites my style of play!! the people who do no me,will no that i do have ambitions!!people who are saying that this move may be wrong, well only time will tell but 4 now this is the right move 4 me!!! i am totally behind my decision to join droylsden and so are my family!!
outher intrests where from altrincham, but i spoke with people and had a long thought about it,but they signed a left bk days be4 i spoke to them, now 4 me to be carrying my england career on i need to be playing week in week out and i have a better chance at droylsden!! altrincham are a team that is going to struggle nxt seaon as already proven with no disrespect there and i new that there style of play would not suite the way i play!
this is for robbo!!!
my srtongest postion is right bk but i was moved to left bk and i gelled there!! the fact is that u dnt no alot about football thats why u keep cuming on here rolling ur mouth!!
Brownie2811 wrote:
What does that even mean??? I must be on some kind of dyslexic rappers forum by mistake!!
Robbo your post was excellent.
Liam with respect Witton have played two seasons of exciting football that suited your style of play and were the club from which you attracted England attention. There is one rather large omission from your post which relates to the amount of money you will be paid at Droylsden compared to Witton. I imagine that this was a big part of the decision too!
Your a decent lad, I wish you all the best with your move, but people will have an opinion and you have to deal with that. It is all about learning from each and every experience.
Good luck.
PS;
Suites has no ‘e’ in it, should be suits
There ambitions should be ‘their’ ambitions
Other has no ‘u’ in it
Exciting has no ‘e’ after the t
AND DON’T FORGET THE CAPS KEY!
I could go on!
Irrespective of the above, you’re a bloody good left back (or right back) and you should go on to play higher than Droylsden.

Liam, if you re-read my post you will see that not only am i praising your footballing ability, i am also praising your hard work and determination in becoming the player that you are.
I am also saying that my own personal opinion - one that i am expressing on a Witton Albion Forum, not a Droylsden, Altrincham, or even a Liam Brownhill forum - is that you are better than BSN.
Or perhaps that is what you mean when you say i ‘dnt no alot about football’? (took me a while to understand that sentance, but luckily Josh was on hand to translate it for me…)
That reply was tight yo’ - respeck.
