Ht is 0-0, I see Peter Heler scored against Vics. I think I’ll have a bet on Stott coming off the bench and banging one in.

Curzon are 1-0 up against Ossett, scored just before half time

Witton Substitution:

Anthony Gardner replaced by Matt Woolley at Half Time.

Substitute Chris Gahgan equalised with an injury time penalty.

Curzon bad result 1-1 at Ossett and Fylde worse losing 1-0 at Woodley, well that was the scores at 9.30

In fact Sheen’s pen was saved and Gaghan put away the rebound.

Did ok first half, but generally poor in the second half. If we hadn’t dropped so many stupid points at home i would have come away quite satisfied with a draw last night, but as it stands it was one we needed to win.

When everybody is fit, 10 players know they are starting every game, and i don’t think that gives them any incentive to maintain their performance levels. We have decent options on the bench now, so hopefully those players who haven’t been regularly performing will start to find they are losing their places.

I watched last night’s game from the side rather than from behind goal, and against a very fast Salford frontline, i was surprised at how high our back 4 were playing. It seemed very naive, and if anything we were playing into Salford’s hands.

Very fortunate to come away with a point.

Let’s hope we get back to how we know we can play on Saturday.

I agree with Robbo that with playing the high line we did seem to play into Salfords hands and we were lucky not to lose the game. In my opinion we lacked someone who could control the ball and play killer passes ON THE FLOOR instead of the hopeful boot in the air all the time. Still a point away is good. Three on Saturday would be much better but it will be a stern test!SBL

Think we played the high line because we were trying to impose our game on to salford. Thought we showed great character in getting the equaliser. Thought the subs made the difference and injected a bit of freshness into our play. Never an easy place to come to and after going behind a draw was a good result. Looks like the playoffs so hope we go into them on a good run.

This seems like a fair match report.
I thought Coops had brought their man down for a pen but then the ref was nearer.
I also thought that “Al” controlled the ball with his arm so our pen was deserved.
Maybe it’s time for Titch to start taking our penalties, especially since we seem to be getting one a game recently.

Why this discussion about the play offs? We are 8 points behind the top two but we have a third of the season still in front of us. Skem never lost a game in the league until the 26th November and beat Fylde at Fylde in that spell 5-2. Where are they now? A point behind us having played 3 games more! It ain’t over 'til the fat lady sings and she hasn’t even cleared her throat yet!
Onwards and Upwards.

Not sure why we would need to impose our game onto Salford when we were the away team? If anything it compacted things too much into one half of the pitch, and left little room for us to get in behind them.
