So next season

For those that are still interested in the Albs a few questions :

Willl we go in the Evostik north or south ?

Who are the early favourites for the managers job- any insight ? What type do we need ?

How many players do we think will stay

How many players do we want to stay ?

We need to forget about today it’s gone, we need to move forwards now together.

for what it’s worth, I think they’ll put you in the southern half and the other two relegated sides in the north, and wierdly I think Glossop (promoted from NWCFL) will end up in the southern half too.

My comment on Facebook about who I would like to see come back is genuine.

All depends on the budget

Allocations for next season 2015/16 are expected to be announced later today.

Has this taken place then??

No news on the official Evo-Stick site so doesn’t look like it.

The tweet was from an Evo-Stik League Official saying the allocations were imminent and he will post them as soon as he can. Maybe today or over the weekend.

Confirmed - we are in Evo-Stik Division One North next season.

With Vics? As for who should stay and who should go that is up to the management but I would prefer it if it was Vics!!
WHS.

Pleased with this result, should cut down slightly on travel however there are few long trips to the north east in Darlington and Spennymoor and a few in Cumbria too. Pick of the away days seems to be Scarborough and Harrogate for me.

Not sure if there will be any big money clubs but we should be able to do alright, hopefully we will be up there or thereabouts. If Glossop can keep their squad from last season I might have a cheeky punt on them winning it.

That’s a relief. I am still sick of the sight of the A50 from last time we were in Div1 south.

Just hope our new manager doesn’t feel the same way about the roads to Div 1 North

So we start again from here …

Darlington went mate, got promoted via play offs.

Still Spennymoor is a trek though

Scarborough weekender anyone?

Sunny weekend in August/September, yes. Mid Jan and snowing, no!

The manager will have to get familiar with the Thelwall viaduct on ta saturday morning.

Some big names in the division and also a couple of big clubs with good fanbase from the north-east,not easy is it.

Also our name is in the target to be shot at and every club will raise their game once Witton comes to town.

We have a Chairman with no hidden agendas, like in the past, this season could be quite exciting

“our name is in the target”?

Not sure about that. Maybe we are not as big as we some think we are ?

Lets get our heads down, work hard and get on with it. we are just the same as every other team in that league and we are there because we deserve/earned the right (chose your preference) to be there

The work starts now

Can see both sides of the coin here. Yes we’re not as big as we may think anymore and there will be much hard work needed by everyone connected with the club for any chance of success in what will be a very difficult season in this league. On the other hand (and I may well be wrong) I don’t think there are many other clubs (if any), other than us and V*cs, that are former conference premier clubs and FA trophy finalists. But I do agree that we must get our heads down and we don’t have any right whatsoever to do better than anyone else, we must earn it lets hope we do. UTA

It’s not going to be easy whatsoever but would we want that?
It’s a new chapter in our unbroken history and I can’t wait for it!!
