Stamford AFC vs Witton Albion

True enough he was eight minutes away from achieving that too. A shocking ten minute capitulation against Blyth before half time and a poor performance in another couple of games (Whitby and Nantwich) did for us really. After the comeback against Rushall and the togetherness of the team then, the brilliant result against Skem and similarly the performance against FCUM (we could have even won that one) and even at half time Yesterday I thought we would stay up. We got Josh back which I thought was a real coup, just gutted!

mario kempes, sully was a dickhead he would walk in the club before a game talk and shake hands with most people and ignore and almost sneer at those who had give him some flack and belittle them.all i’ll say is good riddance

Aha, the “belittling” agenda again…

marston mauler, before the whitby game he came over to me and the people i was with and shook hands and spoke too all but two of us.as i said before GOOD RIDDANCE.these 2 people had give him so aggro at a previous game

Maybe he was just frightened of you Pooley? You are a pretty scary guy.

I liked Sully, but ultimately he wasn’t the man for the job. He never should have been put in the position in the first place.

Gutted to say the least. And now that the dust has settled, we can all take a step back and look at things calmly.

Criticism of the Chairman and the Board is bang out of order. nono They, and the tireless work of the volunteers work long hours at no little expense, and very little reward to keep this club of ours afloat. Without Mark and his team, this club would have gone to the wall years ago.

We all know we have to live within our means which means a tight budget and thanks to Mark for keeping us on the straight and narrow. If that means we have to suffer relegation, then in my opinion, so be it. That’s life and that’s football - unfortunately

Time to pull together and get behind the Chairman and the new manager. For those calling for change at the top, be careful what you wish for! JR anyone?

UTA!

Relegated but on budget - great job!

So no criticism allowed of the Board of Directors and its all Sully’s fault - glad we’re clear on that one!

Appointed two inexperienced managers, one of which was a first time manager but no the chairman still can’t be at fault!

Budget Albion FC.

From where we were 3 years ago to where we are now… How can you not look at the board for answers?

Rather relegated on budget than stay in the division for another season or two and then go bust!

I’m sure we all realise the difficulties faced by the board. I think they’re doing the best they can with the resources available. If you don’t think so, I’m sure your input would be welcomed.

It’s time we all realised that we are where we are because of the finances. Extra line of revenue to come in next season, so let’s see how we go from there.

Whilst I agree to a certain extent re finances, what I do struggle to understand is how the likes of Barwell, Ashton United and others always seem to be ok and sat quite comfortably near the top of the league table. Despite having nowhere near the average attendance and fan base that we have.

We got relegated UNDER budget.

I see no reason why we couldn’t have stayed up ON budget. The 2 things needn’t be mutually exclusive.

This has been a pretty tough season for sure. I wish I still lived near Northwich so I could be at the games, but I have to make do with watching them “live” via this forum and the Twitter feed.

However, as I read through some interesting posts here, I can’t help but notice there’s a bit of a “blame culture” going on - blame the manager, blame the board, blame the finances… and we have to ask ourselves what exactly are we achieving by trying to find a scapegoat? We’ve been relegated - and it doesn’t matter who is to blame, who gets sacked, who resigns - it won’t alter a single thing.

Except, of course, having a good old moan always makes us feel better - that’s human nature and, to a certain extent, what these forums are for

With 6 games to go, I idled away several hours trying to work out how many points were needed for safety; I thought that 2 wins - or a win and two draws - would be enough. In the end, it turns out that just TWO points out of 18 would have been enough. But we can’t turn back the clock, and no moaning or blaming will magically get us reinstated into the NPL

Am I the only one who thinks that what has happened is now history? We need to look forward, and to divert our energies into things in the future that we CAN influence - we can’t keep looking back all the time. We need to give every ounce of our support to the club - including the players, manager AND the board, and look forward to bouncing back at the first attempt.

Much as we all suffered on Saturday, I think at heart we all LOVE this wonderful little football club :clap

Here’s to next season!

Thank the Lord! Finally a post that sums up exactly how I feel. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS

Please stop talking SO MUCH SENSE Central Grounder. This is a fans forum where people can blame the Board and Manager for everything from relegation to the earthquake in Nepal. SACK CENTRAL GROUNDER.http://www.wittonalbion.co.uk/media/kunena/emoticons/wink.png ps should be a wink emoticon here but don’t know how to bring the little bugger down.

No one likes a show off Mookie --WINK EMOTICON.

Yep , now is the time to leave the autopsy room and get on with what needs doing before next season starts.
Onwards and upwards

Love the sentiment Central Grounder and we will move on as a club, but your post sounded a bit like one of those First World War Generals speeches, over the hill lads and keep smiling, they’re not real bullets!

Last post from me until pre-season in July, you can’t keep knocking!
