Just back from the game. Excellent result, in control of the game from beginning to end.<br><br>The Albion fans were out in numbers - great to see!! So many in fact - use had to be made of the ladies loo to accommodate all the blokes.<br><br>What an attractive town Stamford is - even more so after the result.<br><br><br>Bill<br>

From the Stamford website;<br><br>Stamford exited this season’s FA Trophy on Saturday afternoon, losing out to Unibond League Premier Division side Witton Albion, 0-3 being the final score.<br>? Stamford can have no complaints about the loss, with the Northern Premier Division side well deserving their win, and out performing the Daniels in every part of the pitch.<br>? Witton, who came in to the match on a decent unbeaten run in all competitions, took the lead early on, with the Daniels rarely threatening. Witton looked a slick outfit and would have been one of the best sides seen at the Vic Couzens Stadium thus far.That was the way of it at the break and Witton had an ideal chance to double their lead when they won a penalty soon after the resumption. This was very well saved by Stamford keeper Ian Pledger and following that Stamford had one of their best periods of the match without looking like scoring.<br>? Two further goals followed for the visitors, much to the delight of the large travelling support, leaving Witton worthy winners and Stamford having been beaten at home in both FA Competitions by Unibond League sides.
On another very positive note after todays results the league table shows us still sitting in 5th place with games in hand on both teams above and below which coming up to Christmas must be a massive incentive to keep donating money to help keep this squad together!!
