Match pointers
WITTON have this down as a must-win match, according to manager Jim Vince.
The Albion boss went to watch Steels thrash UniBond Division One North leaders Curzon Ashton 4-1 in the President’s Cup on Monday.
"We don’t need to be worried about the teams we play against," he said.
"What is important is how we play and how we apply ourselves."
He believes there is still much room for improvement despite successive 6-1 victories.
According to the Steels Supporters’ Club website Stocksbridge have played Witton 14 times, winning four to Albion’s six.
Witton hold the record for the most goals scored against Steels in a single game - seven.
Gary Marrow’s men have won only two of their opening 10 league matches, leaving them 14th in UniBond Division One South.
The Steels boss also has a lengthy injury list at the moment, with no fewer than five men fighting to be fit for tomorrow’s game.
