Have felt sick to the stomach all night and am gutted for Super Mike. Unfortunately you could hear the bone break from the terraces and I think Mike and everyone around him new the outcome. All I hope is that for him personally it is a quick and pain free recovery, with him back on his feet as soon as possible.
Good luck to the legend and get that red and white shirt back on soon.
All the very best mike if onkly we had 11 players with your heart, commitment, loyalty and not inconsisderable skill every week we would be out of this league by now heres to a speedy recovery to our legend super mike
Just got back from Leighton, they are running a special 2-for-1 promotion that enables you to visit two Wittoners in just the one visit!
John ‘Bulmer’ Powell and Mike ‘Leg End’ Moseley were both in good spirits and pleased to say had smiles on their faces.
Sadly John’s hip operation means that we are unlikely to see him figure in Albion’s first team, however in a month or so it should mean that he can get to the bar quicker! It means that he will not have set off after 35 minutes of the first half to make the bar in time!
Super Mike is plastered (normally more appropriate statement to John), not yet had his operation and more than likely will take place in the morning. More concerned at the moment that he’s had nothing to eat since yesterday morning whilst being on standby for his op! Wanted to know how we had gone on in the second half but I spared him the details (hardly likely to aid his recovery)! Full recovery will take a good six months but I told him we would save him a place on the terraces!
Pleased to confirm that as reported the ‘Leg End’ had his lengthy operation at around 11.30 this morning. He was back on the ward early afternoon after having a rod inserted into the bones to align then. By bearing weight on the join this process will hopefully aid his recovery speed.
There is some bad news however and that is that his recovery may have been set back by a few weeks, unfortunately the first face he saw when he came round was that of the other Albion legend! That can’t be be a pleasant sight when you’re feeling the affects of anesthetic!
According to the big man Mose was in good spirits and wanted to thank everyone for their messages of support and best wishes that he had read on the forum and elsewhere.
Apparently Mike asked the doctor if after recovery whether he would be able to score 20 plus goals a season. The doctor said there should be no reason why not, at which Mike replied good because I couldn’t do that before the injury!
I made the last bit up, sorry, couldn’t resist!
All the best Mose and let us know if you need a lift to the ground on Saturday.
All the best from me Mike and a speedy recovery. Saturday was definately a day to forget and your injury was the worst thing that happened on a bad day all round. I’d have happily settled for us getting beat 6 nil and you still having your leg in one piece! Hope you mum and dad are ok as they turn up week in week out with their support and I hope you and they will continue to do so even after you hang up your boots round about year 2025 I hope!!
Stick in there mate and great to see Adam Foy encouraging you. What price having both him and you in the same team again 110 percenters great lads the both you!!
