If a new manager has been appointed why on earth would the faithfull few wittoners have to wait until the 27th to find out who it is??

This called a dramatic entrance, MM.
Let’s hope it’s worth It.

Dramatic entrance, at this level, ridiculous! Just reveal who the new manager is and lets get on with it!

I well remember Mike Mackenzie’s “dramatic entrance”…

So do I !!!

There’s more to it than just naming a name.
If you have a meeting you can make a proper introduction of the new management team and also hear the reasoning behind the decision, the plans for next season and allow some discussion.
I’ll be there and I hope that anyone who intends commenting on this forum about the management and running of our club in future will be there on Thursday to hear things first hand.

Should be an interesting night for the Texas Hold Em guys.

I’ll be there for the great trumpeted entrance, the explanation of the “root and branch review” (meks me nervous!), to wake up and smell the coffee, and to get out of the boat to walk on the water (just hope theres not an Elephant in the room!)

Maybe we can have an ideas bouncaround and a bit of the old blue sky thinking whilst were at it

who has been appointed as new manager.i have just got back from holiday and do not know who.

I dont think anyone knows yet its being kept hushed so he can be revealed on thursday as it say above

You’re assuming it’s a “he”

Maybe a female manager could iron out some of the problems we have faced in recent seasons?

You always have us in creases Robbo!

She would have to answer to a different kind of board!

No doubt someone with vast non league experience gained through decades of involvement in the game ably assisted by someone well known to Wittoners…

My guess is the news will out before the official announcement especially as local forums are already discussing it…

Quite agree Armchair - now it is an open secret why delay announcing - some people may not be able to attend the meeting on thursday !

Open secret is it??? where can this open secret be gleaned please? The new Chester F.C have announced thier new management team without all this nonsense JUST TELL US AND STOP MUCKING ABOUT ALBION!!! (Please, we can still have a “meet the new management team” job on Thursday!)

PM me and i will tell u my friend !

Well unless we have a really proven good experienced option then if he would do it I would offer it to Pritch, maybe Brodie as assistant ( prefer Nigel Deeley ) and then have someone around like Terry Murphy as football advisor to help us pick off the local talent.
Linking this up with an effective reserve team and a good youth team of 16-18 year olds this must be the way to go ? we cannot cope with our wage budget by paying the best players we cannot compete, lets hope we get some good news and there is light at the end of the tunnel and we can all get behind our new team.

I agree we need a proven experienced option but I can’t really see we’ll get one given the budget we’ll operate under. Talk of Pritch as manager may not be practicle as the lad has a demanding full time job but I’d love it if he can get involved in some part in the the football management of the club. I agree with the person who said why wait till Thursday night. Thursday night could then have been used as not just a meet the new manager but the most pressing topic for us a possible ground move.
The opportunity is there at the moment to buy the Marston thingy whatever it is. If you could get that with £500,000 in the bank off the Developers, charge Vics £850 a game you’d get an income each week of around £1200 made up of the ground share and interest off the £500K!! Ok Ground Maintence might swallow up some of the £1200 but certainly not all of it!!
I stress here the figures would have to add up, That it might not be as simple as I’m making out (Is the ghost of Connett still lurking somewhere), and of course its just my view and not a Shareholder majority view. I think its an option like others we may have and worthy of being considered and no way being critical of the running of the club.
Obviously my thoughts are considerable extra revenue each week so we can hire a recognised experienced manager who make us successful and start the snowball effect that people like Fleetwood Southport and Halifax have acheieved.Thems my thoughts anyway. I do hope we get someone completely fresh to the club and not someone with previous history though. But whoever I’ll try not to be negative and will certainly give them a chance!! Omward and Upward for our great club!!
