Today's Announcement

Does every new poster get accused of being a rival fan? I’m not, and have been an observer of the forum for a while. First time post as I can’t believe how much support he is getting from supporters supposedly keen to promote a ‘community club’.

WHS have you seen everything he wrote on twitter?

Kobra no they don’t! But people seem to be suspicious! I personally agree with what you have said. Some on here seem to be willing to forgive anything because he’s a good player.

No I have not seen his posts that is why I was asking if there was any truth in what Kobra claimed. (The only kind of “Cobra” I know of is a “Snake” so I don’t trust him.)
WHS.

You’re very quick to judge WHS (ironically).
Good to hear your opinion Woody. If that is your real name? The only Woody I know is Woody Woodpecker…

If what Kobra says is true and I don’t doubt that, I thought the club has a Code of Conduct? So why wasn’t this enforced a long time ago in regards to Shaun’s tweeting? Pritchard said on a postcast that he read what players were putting on Twitter, also the club has an account, why has it taken a campaign from the FCUM fans and media coverage to act? (And I know if Shaun hasn’t of tweeted then there would be no issue)

Also I get the seriousness of the damage to the clubs reputation that is going to take time to build again, but in terms of a criminal offence this is a complete waste of the courts time and tax payers money, having worked for 2 1/2 years for HMCS and seen these cases first hand there are more important issues that need the courts time.

Job done agent Kobra now get back to laughing on Twitter with your fcum pals at how you’ve stirred it up on Witton’s forum

Ah well, we have no matches to talk about so it helped to pass the time. Goodbye Kobra, if what is said on here is true and you are an FCMU fan we probably won’t hear from you again, if not, welcome to the Forum!!
WHS.
PS I made no judgement of you, I just said the only “Cobras” I knew of were snakes, I didn’t say you were one. If I were you I would consider a new “Moniker”.
WHS.

Regardless of his level of footballing ability, I really don’t think that the club can afford to keep Tuck following his comments. No player is bigger than the club and the impact of this episode on the club’s reputation would be huge if they didn’t act accordingly. The club have acted impeccably so far and I expect them to get the full support of the fans when they make the necessary decisions. We simply cannot condone this sort of behaviour/attitude and allow it to be attached to OUR club.

I reserve judgement until such time as the player is found guilty and that appears the sensible position the club has taken.
WHS.

I’m sure I’ve heard that comments on social networks will no longer be criminal offences, but then I’m sure I’ve also seen at work that under new equality and diversity regulations one may not say anything at all which may upset anyone whatsoever. Or it may be anyone in any of the protected groups under such regulations (which of course doesn’t include ANY MAJORITY in this once great country). I think what I’m trying to say is that potentially offensive remarks as they used to made “down the pub” face to face and were not a problem, nowadays on twitter or facebook (which I’m not on) they are there for all to see!

P.S Shaun Tuck is a great player for our level and I hope we keep him.

If he is guilty I for one hope we don’t. As for “Remarks down the pub” offensive remarks referring to race, colour or sex are a “No, No” anywhere surely?

It would be a barrel of laughs on a night out with you WHS! I know we all have tape round our mouths nowadays but if all humour is banned from this country/world it will be a very very grim place, alot worse than it already is :stop

We all agree what tuck said was wrong and he is sorry for what he said. But there were fans of a certain manchester club who couldn’t wait to report him to the police and fa so why they can’t just let the relevant authorities deal with it and keep there noses out instead of trying to make matters worse for the lad and hopefully he will still be the albs next season

Surely it doesn’t matter who reported it to the relevant authorities?! If he didn’t commit an offence (yet to be absolutely determined I suppose) then there would not have been anything to report!

I must admit, I’m all for sticking by your own and all that but this is starting to get a bit worrying…

bangwall

Surely someone who was sorry would have apologised?

Did you see what George North put on Twitter and Facebook? He apologised for pointing a disparaging finger at the great Will Genia on scoring a remarkable try for the Lions against Australia. He said “He felt sick to his stomach” when he saw it played back on TV later. Many on here would forgive him his action given the circumstances but George could not forgive himself. He is just 21 yet he realises that he made a mistake and immediately apologised, others please note.
As for jokes about race, sex etc yes I do find some funny but not when they are obviously racist or sexist and we all know when the line has been crossed, or we should do.
WHS.

Your right Graham, I personally don’t think Shaun would apologise without the club making it part of some ultimatum, you wouldn’t say/write something unless that’s what you believed/thought. I feel that he now regrets how he aired his opinions, but not necessarily what his opinion is.

#Team_Tuck

So are you agreeing with his opinions?
