Oh right, understand now Mona thanks for clarifying that point. It is nice to have a healthy discussion with fellow wittoners :cheer: UTA
Interesting Debate, some quick points if I may:-
-
Covenants can be lifted and wills and wishes overturned - the Drill Field was a prime example of that.
-
JRFC do NOT have a 3 year lease, either party has the right to terminate it after each year (Info from Mark Harris before it gets questioned)
-
Use of the word laundered and money as regards to people or organisations I would suggest people be very careful.
-
Why move away from a new urban village and by definition an influx of new customers/future supporters? Yes WP is looking a little tired but its more than adequate for our needs plus there will be a windfall from the Roberts land which we have a sell on clause for.
-
Are we really capable and do we have the infrastructure to run a leisure complex?
Brilliant, personally my feeling is to stay put unless there is a real and definite benefit to moving like MONA says!
Some great posts and I agree with most of what has been said.
WHS.
Two other possible places for us to go are the land up at Lostock near the railway and the land behind Bethel Church on Middlewich Road. We will have to be quick if we are to move as the whole area is disappearing under concrete!!

Sorry for sticking my nose where it’s not wanted but you ground sale has been pecking my head and got me thinking and would be greatfully appreciate answers.
Call me thick but if you were to sell your land where would you play until the new one is built.
If VICS are still ground sharing with you would we move with you to groundshare somewhere else like Runcorn Linnetts or Town?
When the new ground is built and if Vucs are still ground sharing would we move with you to the new ground?
Thankyou
Please remove this joker
Sorry again.
IM trying to think reasonably that it would be best to sell the land and build a new one this is because in this day and age people don’t want to be moving to a new house next to a loud football stadium with lots of noise and swearing.
People buying the new houses will be from out of town and might not have any interest in local football and just want a quiet Saturday afternoon and Tuesday night. If Witton stay at Help for Hero’s ground the Council might offer an incentive to move like land on the cheap so they can get there affordable housing quote.
I don’t want Vics to move out of town again but if we had an arrangement with you to move to a new ground that would be good for both clubs.
Part of any agreement to sell our land will be a new ground already built to our specifications.
It would be my pleasure Mr Thick Dave Thick Dutch Thick Holland Thicky!

Sorry for being a pain just a bit worried as I don’t want to see Vic’s move again now were settled.
