Have to say I feel sorry for some of their supporters, they’ve been right royally shafted over the past few years. I have to say though, that the attitude of a few has been a disgrace.
Wonder what their multi-million stadium whizz kid will do now? And will Witton get the money it is rumoured they are owed?
Are we talking about the WHOLE Evo Stik League? Will they be forced to try the North West Counties?
WHS.
Yes, the League, not the Division. And it looks very much like they will not satisfy the requirements to enter the North West Counties.
After all these years waiting for their demise I feel strangely flat now it has happened. (Or will they once more find a way out?) I am genuinely saddened for some of their supporters, but not many. They all must have known that the club was in way over its head over the last ten or twenty years but were happy enough to accept the success and laugh at us as we struggled to keep things going. As for Tom Davies I am afraid he has gone down a long way in my estimation, I thought he would realise his error in linking our club with the goings on at Vics but instead he says he stands by what he has said. I now agree he should resign and if he doesn’t I think all Wittoners should do all they can to make sure he loses his seat at the next election.
WHS.
Maybe now your mate Davies will retract his critism of the Witton Albion board WHS for not getting into bed with Rushe as reported in this weeks Guardian he ‘stands by his comments’ - DISGRACE!!!
I believe he has resigned earlier today.
the best news i have heard in years. their double standards and downright lies, not to mention their lack of sportsmanship and professionalism has finally caught up with them, and i for one am glad to see the back of them. they bleat that connett and rushe put them into trouble, but the fact is that their predecessors started them on the road to ruin. don,t forget they were heavily in debt before connett took over, so you reap what you sow. therefore no sympathy should be offered to the club or their supporters, because they were willing to go along with everything even though they knew what was going on.could this be the start of putting football on a more financial standing, let,s hope so, it has been long overdue. three cheers for the fa finally seeing sense.
Assuming all the crap comes out in the wash, this summer the “phoenix club”, if there is one, are likely to get a lot of publicity and a great deal of good will from local people with one eye on it.
Hopefully we win promotion to give the town a boost, but we need to be out there banging the drum about how great Witton are, because all eyes are going to be focused on this new venture I expect.
About 20 years ago I wrote a scathing arcticle about vics for a witton programme (I am sure Chad will have a copy somewhere). The moral is get ready with the stake and hammer to kill the vampire. They were on death’s door then !!
Joking apart, a sad day for their supporters but after we have had our fun I hope they resurect themselves in the mid cheshire league, continue to exist build for the future and as a club find some humility that’s been sadly lacking in recent years.
 B)  :cheer: :cheer:  :woohoo:  :woohoo:
Friday 13th unlucky! I do feel for some of their fans, some of them are also friends. Now is the time to come to watch Witton. Your more than welcome to come and support our great club!
Just picking up on a thread by Mike T and WHS, don’t Vics already sort of have a team in the North West Counties 1 (Northwich Villa) and wouldn’t it be an easy transition just to migrate there, whereever there is? SBL
I may be wrong but I think ‘N villa’ is JR’s team.If he goes then I think Villa may fold.Their forum does make a sorry reading.
its the same old blame game thats been going on for yonks.
but what a tasty derby game will be instore for them next season
in the nwcl 1, northwich v?cs V northwich ville. :woohoo:
