V FCUM FA Trophy

So its ok for them to not have their own ground? Does that not go against the tradtition of non league footall over the last century or so?

It states on the FA website that the game is at the H4H Stadium. Is that a mistake on the FA’s part?

No we have switched it as Gigg Lane is unplayable

Is that official then?

Yes, see other post for FCUM statement

Nice one. Cheers mate

It didn’t seem important to the Witton fans either judging by the amount that you brought to Radcliffe. And you didn’t even go to the game yourself? Witton brought much more in the league. A more important competition, thats probably why.
I suppose people are fickle whoever they support. If it was a league club in the FA cup there would no doubt be thousands.
I think it is sensible that the game is played at Witton, it is not Ideal for us, but we haven’t got our own ground and sometimes that makes us at the mercy of others. All the best!

Anyone that want’s to come and say Hello to me and have a chat then my name is Rob and I can be foundunder the flag “FC United forever in our hearts” Look forward to meeting you.

I will be in front of the computer looking out for updates. Come on Witton!!!

Why in front of computer ?why not At THE GAME!!! Witton need everyone’s support

If you can’t make the game tonight then you can listen to coverage at FCUM Radio here http://www.fcumradio.co.uk/. Not expecting a great turnout tonight, it is the 5th of November after all.

I think he lives in Dubai.

Agree on the FC radio, really enjoyed listening to it on Saturday.

He actually lives in Abu Dhabi where it is about 90 degrees at present, perhaps we could switch the match to there. Still raining in Rudheath, I am due on the gate at 6-15 pm but it must be unlikely that the game will be on despite the groundstaff and jonnyamery’ s hard work.
WHS.

It’s a good idea to bring it over here. They have built Premier League standard grounds for Conference standard teams that get 3rd division gates. The football is so hopeless here that even Man City looked like a good team to buy…

:clap 1-0 and FCUM had one sent off. Lights gone at home, left at HT.
WHS.

won 2-1

Made hard work of that. The lack of pace in the side was pretty evident throughout. Wins a win in the cup though B)

Only saw the second half. An object lesson in how not to play against nine men bangwall ! To be fair to Witton, Jon Worsnop produced a superb performance in the FC UTD goal. And the winner was absolute class, completely different to what had gone before.

Switching Powell back in to midfield completely upset the balance of the team in the second half tonight. Don’t understand that one Powell was playing so well alongside Ben.

Witton team:

Matt Cooper, Alistair Brown, Marc Joseph, Ben Harrison, Michael Powell, Jonathan Breeze, Josh Hancock, Anthony Sheehan, Kyle Wilson, Neville Thompson, Danny Andrews.

Subs: Jon Dawson, Cliff Moyo, Matty Purcell, Michael Moseley, Stuart Plant.

a brilliant performance by the ground staff to get the pitch in top condition for the game, they really did do a brilliant job. just a pity that the team did not match their effort. however a win is a win and we are in the next round and i am sure the players will put on a better performance in the next round.united never stopped taking the game to witton and will surely feel unlucky not to have got a better result, and their fans never stopped singing throughout the game. good luck to them for the rest of the season.
