Any update from anyone on state of the pitch? SBL

Was wondering this too, myself and Gazza are both off work tomorrow so we can come and help if the groundstaff need any help with the pitch?

Alan Spruce has put on the Facebook page that any help with the pitch would be greatly appreciated. Pitch was under water on Sunday and forecast more rain tomorrow.

Me and Gazza will be there at 10 and can stay as long as it takes to get the game on

hope the game can go ahead, looking forward to it. big game for us we need to get a result to help us out of the bottom 4. i’m sure the players will be up for it and will put in a full shift with 110%, so may i suggest us wittoners put ourselves up for it and get down to the h4h stadium tomorrow night. it would be great if we could get the support we had at curzon to get promoted, what an atmospere was created that day. let’s try and repeat that tomorrow to help us stay in this league. so come on all you singing wittoners get down there and make a difference.

I’m coming to the end of my night shift and it’s been bouncing down for most of the night.
Good luck to the lads at the ground this morning but I’m fearing the worst!

8.31am and its pi%*$£g down here in downtown (not so sunny) Crewe! SBL

Dry in Northwich with only the odd shower forecast but its the heavy overnight stuff that could do us! Me and Gaz are in the penny having a breakfast to set us up for a day of forking the pitch

Volunteers are needed today to work on the pitch to try and get tonight’s games on. If you can help please get down to the ground ASAP.

Hopefully nobody gets on pictures of Matt and Gaz forking

Just been down to the ground ready for a good forking, but I didn’t even get a poke, as it wasn’t going to make a difference the pitch is soaked and there is water lying on top of parts of it, not looking good :frowning:

Game off

GAME OFF!

I have just been down the ground, and this was the only possible decision (sadly)

The postponement of this game is a major blow to our current cash flow plans.

However, every cloud has a silver lining.

The match has been re-arranged for Tuesday 11th February, 2 weeks from now.

Premiership games organised on11th Feb are:-

Cardiff v Aston Villa
Hull v Southampton
West Ham v Norwich
West Brom v Chelsea

These 4 matches should have far less impact on our gate than the ones scheduled tonight!

It will probably be snowing by then :S

What good thinking Evostik, having an extra 4 games in a season!
Hey ho weather is always great in the UK, looking forward to our 16 games in April.

Pre match entertainment… What affect on the gate would the concept of Matt and Gazz forking have???

mooney .sick nono :stop :pie guinness

I would imagine it would increase the attendance 2 fold at least. …

Especially as the PINK nights have stopped :silly:

Pitch inspection at lunchtime apparently. Pitch is very wet

Agreed.

I think everybody could see this coming after the situation with postponements last year.

We should raise this to the league chairman :pinch:
