Vs Trafford

These other teams may be able to afford to gamble on the cost of sacking managers and appointing new ones at this stage but after the shambles of this season we cannot afford to.

SO it’s go down or stay up with the current management team, I personally hope that we stay up and if we support the players management team and board it will surely be more likely.

There’s one thing certain, if they all walk away we will be well and truly f*cked and not have a club anymore…then the slimy green shite will just need a lot of green paint…COME ON THE ALBIOOOOON!

One thing I keep hearing is ‘if you did what Gards did at work you would be sacked’ it’s an really sorry day, when football has become a ‘job’ footballs not a ‘job’, it’s a gift and a passion for the game, maybe that’s something missing on our current squad if you think it’s a ‘job’ you can sod off and find employment elsewhere!!!

So your saying that as its not a proper job the players can turn up and say what they want to the Manager?
Why have a Manager at all in that case! Let the team pick itself and play in whichever position they fancy!!
There has to be a respect from players to Manager at all levels of football even at junior level, dont get me wrong this is not me being anti Gards as i really like the bloke and i would love to see this situation sorted and get him back playing for Witton Albion
One thing though if its not a job why the hell are we paying them?

The trouble is sport is very passionate or should be ! so if Adrennalin is running things happen in the heat of the moment, I have run junior teams for many years and if you reacted like this on every occasion that players flared up in training then I would have had no players left, for Gards to react like reported then someone one has wound him up and got in his face ! And whilst it Is paid it is certainly not a job in the normal sense. I cannot now see this being sorted amicably but would be great if it could, it’s best we now move on and see if we can achieve safety then review it all in the summer.

No that’s completely not what I said?

I can’t agree that an hour after a game when everyone is sat having a chat is heat of the moment.

No one wound him up and no one got in his face. He was out of order and was spoiling for a fight.

Not great for opposition supporters and directors to overhear. It made for interesting talk on the way home with us.

Don’t attend games anymore but still a shareholder and after 60+ years being a Wittoner they are the first result I look for. Sad to see the demise that the club is in but must agree with GE that slagging off the chairman and directors will do nothing but make the situation worse. If the chairman has ambitions for higher office then he is going to do his best for Witton Albion to achieve that. The time to get rid of chairmen and directors is through the election process when you can PUT UP or SHUT UP. Feel for the likes of Neil,JAP,Andy et al who are backing the board with their tireless work.
Nothing against having a go at the manager or players on here - if they are not doing the business then they are thick skinned enough to take it if justified. The chairman needs to give the manager enough time to create his own team not making hasty decisions on the back of irate fans comments which I am sure he will do.
Get behind the chairman, manager and players and preserve the club.
KTF

You will have enough problems next season by getting into bed with the Devil (Att.95) rather with his Son (Att.300+)

Eli who?

Glad to see some support for the chairman on here who works tirelessly for our club, you may not agree with every decision that is made (even at board level things go to votes) but everything is intended for the greater good of Witton Albion.
Like numerous issues before this - its not a problem we went looking for or asked for, but one we have to deal with, and be swift in doing so to allow us to concentrate on the imperative job in hand.

On the employment front, as Anthony was a contracted player (there is a big difference to a non contracted player) he is deemed an employee in HMRC eyes, legal eyes and those of the FA hence the requirement for independent advice, the club NOT taking this advice could have left it with a bigger issue.

Lets focus on the games this week now and give the team the backing they need to continue to pick up points.

I think my comment regarding ‘Job’ has been taking out of context, I was referring to Football generally not specifically ‘Gardsgate’ I meant its dissapointing to think that players nowadays think of playing as a ‘Job’

What doesn’t make any sense whatsoever, is the fact that this happened on a day when the team actually produced and got the desired result!

Tawny kitten unless you were in the conversation then you do not know what was said, you may have partly heard the result ! for the rest they will have heard the managers side until I have heard both sides all the way then I cannot decide - but common sense says there must have been a lead up to this event it may have not been the manager but his assistant, but it was only verbals no one was hit ! So in my and many others opinion it was dealt with too severely. Anyway we are moving on to more games again thankfully, as fans we can only let it work its way to conclusion.

 The “flying boot” incident was in February 2003. By June 2003 Beckham had signed for Real Madrid. Make of that what you will!

And we could have done the same orderly change and funnily enough it was the innocent party who went not the aggressor Fergie !

Its been rubbish all season but we have to support the Chairman and the manager (who I don’t think is any good). If we don’t then we are going down.

I don’t understand why Wittoners are always supporting players who leave us in the shit. Tuck, Harrison, Gardner. Get a grip. If they don’t want to play by Wittons rules then go play somewhere else Support the ones who want to be here.

It’s a bit presumptuous for you to tell me what I and a number of others heard C.J.

As a visitor to this forum I don’t know much about you but reading your recent messages you seem like a bit of an arrogant tosser.

Why don’t you channel your energy into supporting your team?

I’ll get back to supporting my team now who are also looking over their shoulders but has all the fans pulling in the same direction.

Id say see you next season but I don’t think we will.

I think you might stay Tawny myself !

And replace him with who exactly? Who would actually want to be Chairman of Witton Albion Football Club given our current position, would you do it?
Whilst I agree that Mark and the board have made some very questionable decisions over the last year or two, including the appointment of our current manager, we would be in considerably more trouble than we already are if we did not have them on board. I’d go as far as saying we might not even have a club to support without them.
Times are bad atm but keep the faith. UTA

I have refrained from posting on here for some time but when someone insults Mark Harris he needs telling to shut his big gob! WHS

I agree WHS, a couple of things I have read on here in the last couple of days about Mark are plain ridiculous and in my opinion not the voice of true wittoners.
