Where do we go from here?

After the last couple of awful days, where now for our club? How can we repair the damage that has been done?

Do you think it would be a good idea if we arranged a meeting for all the fans to get together and discuss what has gone on:unsure:

Just an idea, any thoughts.

If what i’ve heard is true, then the only way is down. For me it shows a serious lack of ambition. Hopefully what I’ve heard is only a rumour but it dont look good!

We needed to build again on what we already have, looks like its a complete rebuild which isnt going to take 5 minutes

My main concern are the amount of people who are burying their heads in the sand. Just a few weeks ago we were on the verge of something really special, but now all of that looks like being undone.

It’s a real sickener, I lay awake last night wondering where it had all gone wrong. If anyone needs any clarification on what exactly has happened, I would read Chad’s post on the Guardian website. That certainly told me what to believe…

I just cant believe this is happeing?!!! Everything was in place foor this club to move forward. Now it seems we have lost the manager, going to loose most players and how many fans will turn up week in week out and pay £9.00 to watch a mid table team playing crap footie??

It’s time for answers Mr Chairman

I dread to think what is going to happen to the club in the next 6 months.

Jim and Nige gone = loss of the squad, reduced gates, loss of the feel good factor round the club, I assume reduced usage of Crewe Alexandra’s loan stars, the loss of any young players that would potentially come here through Nige D, mid to lower table in the Unibond Premier. It will take us 6 or 7 years to get over this set back.

I have certainly been told several different stories about what has gone on, and I am certainly siding with JV on this one. One person in question is telling different stories depending on who he is speaking to, I’ll let you decide who that is.

This is a really serious issue that needs to be resolved as a matter of urgency, are we ready to throw away 2 and a half seasons of major progression? Surely there is a solution…

Is there any chance of Jim Vince and Mike Worthington getting together get this sorted out ? Mike Worthington seems to suggest that they are still on speaking terms, so is it impossible for them to find a solution to whatever the real problem is. Surely its something that can be rectified with the help and support from the fans.

Havn’t we got a meeting already arranged for this Saturday… The Player of the Season awards?

Might be a good time for the Chairman to address the fans, and whatever players turn up. He can lay out the reasons for his decisions, and also put down his plans for next season. If Jim and Nige have gone, and its impossible to revert that decision, the so be it. We need to act fast in appointing a new manager, who then has the task on getting our players back on contracts that don’t have such a stupid get out clause.

Don’t forget, we have the small matter of celebrating Pritch’s amazing record this season, which was put off to the end of the season at his beqhest.

Lets show the players and the Board that the fans are still up for it by turning up in numbers. I’ll be there

Is the " Player of the Year " do still on?

An EGM would be interesting ! Can we call for one ?

Great post Thatch, I’ll be there.

Eli, the POYD is defo on still and Jim is planning on being in attendance

Should be a good night then Greg.

I am Gutted, sickened, sad, upset indeed very very angry .I could go on.Back to mediocracy and 7-8 year set back.
OH AYATOLLAH, WHY ???

It was disappointing enough to miss out on promotion.
Then the board goes down…and now this!!!

WTF is going on people?

After the devatating defeat it was almost certain that there would be a backlash. But it is still the same club. How many people thought we would challenge again this season after losing so many players to Bradford? Witton rarely have much luck but they do have a core of totally committed supporters who will I am sure ensure that the club picks itself up, dusts itself down and starts again. Managers and players come and go but the club is always there. If a pessimist like me can look forward to a better future for the club then I am damn sure you lot can.

Great post WHS.

We all need to stick together now to get through this mess.

We all support Witton, we have no choice and no matter how pathetic i feel the board is and how devestating it is that Jim has gone we need to pull through.

Good luck Jim believe me you will be missed.

How on earth can you be positive about this WHS? It has taken years of hard work for the club to be where it is at now and it is simply going to be thrown away. The mass exodus to Bradford was not an issue because they were mainly fringe players and trouble makers (Mike Moseley not included) and were replaced with better players. We are now looking at a severely reduced wage bill, building a new squad from scratch, with a new manager. This cannot be compared to last season at all. We were able to add to a squad that already included Brownhill, Kennedy, Pritchard, Brown, Peers, Warlow etc. It looks like we’ll be left with 2 or 3 players at most this time round. Very dark week for the club, something needs to be done

Im trying to be positive but your right, i cant see how we will come back form this at this moment in time. I have always been positive so far but this is a F***** mess we are in.

Look lads Witton is still a very senior club in non league circles, certainly at the level we are at and who would have though the reserve team coach would turn out to be as good a manager as Jim Vince was? Players will be clamouring to come to this club and so will good managers, for God’s sake you optimists don’t become pessimists one is enough!!!
