Where do we go from here?

Mookie, don’t forget that “Only Love Can Break Your Heart”

Any chance of an approach to the PRITCH and MOSE TEAM sharing the duties ALTERNATIVE WEEKENDS thus giving them some family time
AND OF COURSE BRING Nigel back as well. As Lord Kitchener said (YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU !!!)
Surely if we want to unite everybody, BOARD PLAYERS AND FANS THESE ARE THE MEN TO DO IT.

They are the right team but I don’t think this is the right time for them certainly not Pritch and Mike due to family and other commitments, I think we need to look outside now as others have said but who that is I’m not sure I bet we have had calls already tho.

Think the Collosus and SuperMike are great but don’t really want to go back to them even if they’d do it which I doubt. however having guys round the club like them doing something would be brilliant even just turning up and supporting.
I like Nige Deeley too but again we need a totally fresh approach to the playing side someone new with fresh ideas who will hopefully keep our better players (We all know who they are), get in some new ones and get us playing as a team quickly with a top ten finish as a benchmark.
The same applies to the boardroom. We have some lovely and great people in there doing a thankless task but thats where our real problems are. I think we need new blood in the boardroom with one or two others moving aside and being less hands on but hopefully doing Developement work like the artificial pitch while we hopefully attract some newer younger people with renewed energy that can take us forward and make the right decisions about the football management and raising extra income sources.
As for the social club LOMAS Entertainments and volunteers doing the stadium you never cease to amaze me. Your dedication and hard work deserves a better reward than the absolute garbage served up on the field of play this season.

Take your point about family commitments. But surely we must make an approach, before taking a chance with
someone who hasn,t been part of the FAMILY.

We spent a good few hours with Pritch, Mose and Nige yesterday (and Dave Andrew), and its so obvious that they are as gutted about what has happened as the rest of us.

They have a genuine love fo the Club (hence them turning up yesterday), and want to see us do well.

However, i know that at this point in time Pritch and Mike have other priorities in their lives (Pritch has just passed his Sergents exam - hurrah!), but i am sure they would help the club out in some capacity if it was required.

Nigel is obviously very busy with his FA work, and has been doing some scouting. Again, i am sure he would love to help the club out if he could, but he did say at the time that he only came back because it was Pritch and Mike who asked for his help.

I think we were blessed to have had success under these 3 guys - top Wittoners, who will always hold a special place in Wittoners’ memories.

Tme moves on though unfortunately, and i think it is unlikely we’ll ever see the 3 of them back in the dug out together - as much as we would all love to see it.

what are peoples opinions on shaun reid or ian street. cant see shaun reid putting up with any crap

Ian Street is doing an excellent job at 1874 from what I hear. I mentioned his name on here at the time of Sully’s appointment as I thought he would have made an excellent candidate. I also would have thought that, even if we were interested in him then, we would have had a slim to nil chance of getting him several months ago. Absolutelty no chance whatsoever of getting him now, he seems to be fully committed to 1874 and they are a club on the way up. Don’t know anything about Shaun Reid.

I would imagine Shaun Ried is on far too good a deal at moneybags Warrington to come to us, i would love to have a manager of his style to take over though, a real no nonsense gaffer!

Also like the Andy Morrison shout too, a real battler on the pitch and someone who i would imagine would get the respect from the players who would also be scared to death of him!

Ian Street did have a spell here as assistant manager and then moved on to Winsford.

Always rated Tommy Lawson does a decent job and brought a few good players through thoughts anyone ?

Reid is a proven cheat and Witton would be best to avoid him as he will bring his awful unsporting and arrogant attitude with him.

The man lacks any class and has done very little with a budget twice the size of Witton.

Morrisson is another to avoid

I think your right RO avoid both and lets get someone with experience and class we don’t need anymore problems at our club.

I wouldn’t be taking a gamble on Ian Street correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t he unproven even at Evostik 1. We do not want to go down that road again surely?

Pellegrini will be available in a couple of weeks

Pellegrini is unproven at this level.

Ian Street didn’t even win NWCFL division 1 they 1874 got promoted by default so he would be a very big gamble, usually names just roll of the tongue but just now in our position they just don’t ? Maybe Mark and the board have a clear idea after all Sully has not with us that long and I can’t see the applicants being that different than then.

Hopefully looking at some of the same names but anyone who interviewed the first time probably had one eye on the Premier Division play offs, rather than Division 1 South :frowning:

Yep I suppose that’s true !

Anyone know where Killer is from the 80’s these days, he would sort it out. Him with Tony Jarvis as assistant haha.
