Into these cloggers on Monday, Witton. They were like rabbits in the headlights on Boxing Day - and on a quagmire of a pitch that should’ve been a leveller.

1874 - a club with no history, no ground, and after hearing talk of them getting back in bed with Vics now they’ve stagnated, seemingly no future.

Three big games to go and Bank Holiday means derby day, as we welcome neighbours 1874 Northwich to the U Lock It Stadium in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.

Saturday’s long trip to Workington couldn’t have gone any worse but we now have to try and bounce back.

Witton are now in must-win territory and that still might not be enough to make the play offs, which is still possible but it is now not in our hands.

1874 Northwich have stuttered in recent weeks and have won only twice in their last ten games but, will still pose a problem for Witton which we have to try and overcome.

The reverse fixture at Townfield Lane on Boxing Day, saw Albion run out comfortable winners with a brace from Connor Hughes, and further goals from Harry McGee and Elliot Rokka.

Matthew Woolley’s penalty in the last few minutes proving nothing more than a consolation.

Witton will be looking to complete the double over their neighbours but moreover will be wanting to finish the season as high as they can.

Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 3pm.

Need to bounce back after yesterday, same performance and result as Boxing day will do nicely.

Should be a good game, no big pressure on albs as the play offs look gone! Team wise I’d stay attacking and go with

Martin
Koral, Harrison, Hitchcox, Jackson
Fogerty, Barrow, Putnam
Igoe, Baxter, Rokka

Made some assumptions about injury and suspensions but still looks a good side.

Good luck lads. UTA

Is it true that Duckworth has gone on holiday.?

Not something I can confirm but he was suspended on Saturday.

Is it a 2 game ban for 2 yellows?

If yes then he will be out today.

I think it depends on what the referee puts in his or her report.

Lee Jackson only served one match for his and that was two yellow cards.

If it’s for dissent (which I think Duckworth’s was) then It’s usually two matches.

Joe’s here and available as far as I know.

Two yellows were for kicking the ball away and a foul.
