Witton Albion v. Kidsgrove Athletic

What a start to the new year the team gave us and they’ll be looking to continue that form when they welcome Kidsgrove Athletic on Saturday afternoon in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.

Four wins on the run have propelled Albion upto mid table with the chance of progressing further as they begin a run of three successive home games.

The two teams go into the game separated only by goal difference and Grove have played a game more.

Their recent form has seen them suffer three successive defeats and Witton will be looking to make sure that continues.

Despite the recent good form, Witton have strengthened their squad with the latest arrival being midfielder Danny Thompson-Edwards from Wythenshawe FC, who will add competition for places in the squad.

Kidsgrove will be looking to complete the double over Witton following their comfortable 4-0 success at the Autonet Stadium in August, probably one of Witton’s worst results of the campaign so far.

Managed by former Albion boss Scott Dundas and with former Albion midfielder Kyle Diskin and striker Tom Pope in their ranks, Grove are likely to find a much-improved Albion than the one they encountered earlier in the season.

One danger that Witton will need to be aware of is winger Kingsley Adu-Gyamfi who has netted fifteen times so far this season but Kidsgrove have players within their team capable of causing problems for any defence.

Witton also have players who can make the difference so the game should make for an interesting spectacle.

If Albion can continue their recent form then they have every chance of picking up the three points but it will not be an easy game for them.

Team-wise I think same team that started vs Runcorn, only change might be if Koral is fit!
