Witton Albion v. Trafford

Witton face another tough game on Tuesday night when they welcome Trafford to the U Lock It Stadium in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture.

It’s almost a year to the day since Trafford’s last visit and they enjoyed a comfortable victory on that occasion, as striker Mike Burke helped them to a 4-0 win.

A lot has happened since then, changes in management and also in playing personnel with only four of Witton’s starting line-up from that game remaining at the club.

Trafford go into the game in sixth place in the table and outside the play offs only on goal difference, following an excellent victory against Wythenshawe on Saturday.

Witton will be looking to put another winning run together after the progress they had made was halted with the home defeat to Clitheroe at the weekend.

Games against Trafford have always been entertaining and they have had the upper hand of meetings in the past, but last season saw both games won by the away team, Witton securing a 4-0 success at Shawe View in January.

Three points would see Witton climb back into the top half but they will have to earn the right result as Trafford won’t make things easy for us.

Kick off at the U Lock It Stadium is 7.45pm.

Always a tough game vs Trafford and expect one tonight, I’d like to see King brought in to add a bit more energy to the midfield so

Allen
Koral, Bailey, Grogan, Hitchcox, Jackson
King, Graham, German
Djabi, Dasilva

I would also like to see the 3 Centre backs being a bit more compact to stop leaking goals. Good luck lads. UTA

Unfortunately, there is no radio commentary available for tonight’s game.

Witton are in action again on Saturday when we travel to Avro FC in a Northern Premier League West Division fixture with a 3pm kick off.

We didn’t deserve to lose this one but we struggle to score game after game.

I know it’s hard but somehow we have to add some goals to our game before it is too late.
