Marine were 3-0 up with five minutes to go.
Well we won but we were not good again ! Fortunately they weren’t very good either and if we had not lost Corbett with the red card it probably would have been 3-4 , they seemed on a par with Barnton I thought the decent player they had was the number 10 Ward other than him non would get in our squad. Sully really needs to work hard now, get a regular keeper no good relying on the keeper coach anymore - our bench was so weak tonight and now we will lose Zak for 3 games all for a nothing game ! We may have won but it was not a great night or a good game with them playing little football but working hard I think we eventually dropped to there level ! Lets hope we get 3 points Saturday far more important !
Lets hope that tonight’s win puts a bit more confidence into the team and we get back to winning ways in the league.
It was good to see some atmosphere in the ground and some passion on the pitch. I really miss the derby games - there’s not been enough in recent years. These occasions are to be treasured (win or lose) and they can only be good for local football.
UTA !!!
Job done! UTA B)
Attendance: 472.
Not much to say about tonight other than very very poor. The squad is thread bare and now is the time where we see how good Sullys contacts are. If I were him I would be looking at their number10, Matty Ward who stood out in a very poor 1874 side.
