The club should reimburse supporters with their admission fees today enough said.

Fairly poor showing by a fragile looking Witton Albion side today.

0-0 at half-time, the game was there for the taking, but it was Grantham (who hadn’t won a solitary league game since the start of the season in mid August) who seemed to want it more in the second half and so “stepped up to the plate”.

Jim Gannon (now manager at Hyde United) was in attendance at today’s game, and on this showing, won’t have seen too much to concern him ahead of Tuesday night’s upcoming NPL fixture.

Going to be a long tricky season for WAFC unless results start to pick up in the near future. Not impossible, though.

Onwards and upwards, because sitting third bottom, there ain’t much more downwards just now.

It is hard work being a Witton fan at the moment. It feels like the club is totally stagnant and the only way we look like we’re going is down. Even Carl went and sat in the dugout with 10 minutes to go and didn’t come out again. Whether it’s the fact that we’ve got no money or the infrastructure (scouting system/reserves/youth teams) of the club are so poor, it feels like we are in the doldrums. We’re bringing back players like Cesaire, Greg Hall, Nick Ryan that weren’t needed previously and pinning our hopes on Foley, Jones, Hopley etc who have been good for us in the past but, are now beyond their sell by date. They are loyal players who give everything but Cesaire and Foley as our central midfield??? Callum looks good but he’s not gonna hang around for long if this form continues.
