Watch Witton twice
By Andrew Simpson
Comment
WITTONERS could get double vision on Saturday.
They can watch their league clash with Leek Town live before switching to the social club to see the action all over again.
The game, which kicks off at 12.45pm, is to be broadcast live on the Internet by NPT TV, the UniBond League’s online television channel.

And Albion plan to show the game to supporters once more after the final whistle.
The viewing is due to start at 3pm.
It is their second outing on the world wide web this term as their goalless draw at Fleetwood Town in October was also broadcast to a global audience.
10:00am today
Excuse my daft question but how do i get this channel ??? bearing in mind we have only just got electricity in wakefield!!

Would imagine the game will be in doubt given the current weather?
Anyone expand, and is any help needed on the ground?

I would also be happy to help on the pitch if required. We don’t want to disappoint the TV audience do we?!

I have provisionally arranged for an inspection on Friday afternoon. It has forecast a lot of rain Thursday/Friday but, as we cannot postpone a game on a Friday there may be another inspection early Saturday morning.
All the forkers we can find please…

Maybe we should move the kick off to 3pm if the pitch needs time to dry out… :o

I will be able to help out Saturday morning on the pitch if the game hasn’t already been called off!

Not arranged a definite time yet - depends on people’s work. Possibly 3.30pm Friday.

I think it will be safe to assume that the ground will need as many bodies to help on Saturday morning IF:
(a) it passes the initial inspection on Friday.
(b) it passes the Saturday one at 9-ish.
I will post on here on Friday evening but please be available if you can help.

I have provided the ground staff with 4 sets of tarpaulins, are these being utilised to protect the worst affected areas from further rain?

That’s interesting, i wasn’t aware of that. Good question though; are they being used?! How long has the club had them, as they obviously weren’t used before the Telford game that got postponed last season.
