1-0 Fleetwood according to their site
0-2 down now. Witton not playing well at present. Not over yet.
Jack
Come on lads!!!
Oh dear…
I had a bad feeling about today…
Surely not deja vu like last season?..
COME ON, ALBION!
0-3 down. Own goal! gate 1014.
Oh dear, another good gate at home too.
Jack
Aaaaargh!
0-3 according to their website…
Reading the comments on their board is hard to take…
A lot of p*ss taking going on…
Best avoid their board. Wittoners will have much to say later. The real crisis of the season has now arrived. I am confident that we can handle the rest of the season.
Jack.
Very, very poor. No heart, no desire and trust Witton to wait until the biggest game of the season and the biggest gate to play so badly. The shape of the team was all wrong, one up front at home?
That said its still very much on and we are much better than we showed today as we all know. We need to win our matches and believe that they cant win all of theirs. Come on the Albs.
No excuses - beaten by a better team on the day - so we bounce back on Sat with our heads up.
Onwards and upwards.
I agree , one up front ? Of all the games to choose to change a winning formation
We were second best in every area this afternoon, credit to Fleetwood I thought they came with more desire and deserved to win.
I personally thought we got the formation wrong or at very least tried to over complicate the way we played. Had Thornley have been available we would have played with a straight 4-4-2, the fact he was not available meant we went for a previously untried formation of Brodie playing off Warlow - it didn’t work! At times with what appeared to be five across midfield we were outplayed.
I think this was a mixture of us playing badly and Fleetwood playing well, the irony is I think they will now go to places like Lincoln, Leek and Buxton and slip up. The big question is whether or not we have the b***cks to go on and hold our nerve. When it comes to playing attacking, fluid, attractive football we have been the best all season but this is where it counts.
We remain 8 points clear and I would prefer to be in our position than Fleetwoods, also had you have said that we would lose our first home game at the end of March then we would have all taken that!!! I don’t think that Fleetwood are particularly good, although frankly at times today we made them look like Barcelona!
I have said before it is not about getting beaten, it is to do with how you react! Today’s result makes every game a must win game between now and the end of the season.
Come on Witton!
There’s no getting away from the fact we were awful today, we couldn’t put a move together at all, at times it was like watching a different team!
Great gate but a lot of the neutrals won’t come back again after that display. Let’s move on though although it was hard to see the Cods enjoying their day so much.
Lets get there on saturday and show our support.
We are STILL in the driving seat people.
every team has an off day, and can we certainly pick our off days.we were lucky that it was"nt 5 or 6,we never won anything in midfield, shocking in defence, and i can"t belive we should play like that in such an important game.its not in our hands anymore,i can"t see fleetwood winning all there games, but neither will we.most dissapointing aspect this afternoon is the people who turned out to cheer on the team, and they were let down badly.i will be there on saturday, but many who came for the first time this season won"t be.
surely you cant mess it up yet again!!!

Obviously we have been taking lessons from you! Another season of mediocrity ahead at the rented stadium, at least we played badly in our own ground!
We didn’t turn up today.
Forgot to mention the good job done by JE and Co today and also well done to the Fleetwood fans who did their club proud today.
Just a bad day at the office.Pity it had to happen when we had a 1000+ crowd and Vale royal mayor in attendance.
Still,it ain’t over yet.Fleetwood were the better team today and one swallow doesn’t bring spring.
We will win the league so let’s not switch the panic button on just yet.
Disappointing but Hey,
Always look on the bright side of life !!!
