Witton v Telford

I.ve had a text from Neil, stating that the Telford game is to be segregated and to inform all Wittoners that we are using the WINCHAM end, the club are expecting up to 1500 people
;D

Len, I’ve just had the same message from Neil and he also went on to say that access to the social club at half time, is for Witton supporters only.

Up to 1500? If the European game had not been on it would have been over 2,000. Why do people watch so called English teams that contain hardly any English players? Chelsea? most of the team can’t speak English and the rest in the premiership are little better. They say it is the best league in the world but only because it buys all the best players. And is it the best "League" when only four teams can actually truely compete in it? I certainly don’t think so. If you are undecided what to watch on Tuesday night just remember, most, if not all the lads on show want to play for their club, be it Witton or Telford, they are not there just to pick up a big fat wage packet. See you all on Tuesday and let’s hope for a massive gate a great game and the right result…
WHS.

Wait and see what the actual gate is WHS! I for one won’t be watching Utd-Milan but will be sat in front of my computer watching the live feed of the game, before making the 4 hour trek up Friday night to see us take the title!

Just to restate what has already been said above:

A decision was intentionally made after todays results by the boards of WAFC & AFC Telford as to the travelling numbers. Given the size of the game it has been decided to segregate with Telford quoting 1000+ as a realistic travelling figure.

Witton will have the usual home end (Wincham) and Telford the Lostock end. The seating area will however not be closed off like the Rushden game.

With this in mind access to the social club will only be to witton fans and those in the seats at half time.

Pre match and post match the club is open to anyone.

As for the gate - who knows, when did we honestly have a league game of this magnitude? It was well won in 1991 by april?

Get there early!!!

just wondering, what is the capacity at stade de albion? also what time does the social club open on tuesday? ???

Good point about the capacity, you never know how many Witton fans will suddenly decide this is a game not to be missed.
WHS.

iknow at least 5 people who are coming on tuesday who havn’t been to a game all season. talking about the run in in recent weeks i’ve been suprised just how many witton fans there are around. im’ that desperate that we get a decent turn out on tuesday that me and two mates are even fetching are mrs’s. ;D

Let us just hope that we do not do what we seem to make a habit of, get a big gate and play awful. Come on Lads, one last big push on Tuesday and it is yours.
Players, ask yourselves before the game, "Where would I rather be than right here, right now"? If you WANT it badly enough it is yours for the taking and a place in Albion’s history is yours forever.
WHS>

Capacity I’m unsure exactly - the ground is 4500 but that has been reduced via the saftey certificate (long story its not an issue for anyone who thinks we can’ t host big gates in the future!)

The social club - its usually open around 6.30 ish - no doubt it will be a tad earlier this time given the travelling fans as well.

Alls that has to be said is my nerves are jingling now and im all the way in dundee! Im well looking forward to seeing what the outcome of this one will be! I will be thinking all the time about what score the mighty albion is whilst watchin utd hopefully beating ac milan! Come on Boys you can do it! Come on Witton!

Im so looking forward to this game ! Unlike WHS I love high pressure games like this ! I guess i like being under pressure and dealing with it . I think the team that deals with the pressure the best, will win the game. Lets hope thats Witton. If were Mentally tougher than Telford, we will win !
So To the Players lets get the job done ! This season you have played some fantastic football, The best Ive seen for some years !
Youve also got some fantastic results this season. At the same time making some of the better teams look very poor :) So lets give it all weve got on Tuesday ! The Management , Players & Supporters ! ;D

If Telford bring 1000 then the ‘away’ end won’t be big enough!

Just to reitterate the point, all turnstiles will be open, but don’t expect to get there 5 mins before kick off and watch 90 mins.

Park up early and get into the ground early suggest by 7.30 p.m.

What is the capacity of the away end??

Just been looking at the telford forum and there are hoards of their fans going so it might be an idea to get that drum out again to help us make as much noise as possible and cheer on the lads! sounds like the atmosphere is goin to absolutely electric! Im just soooo gutted i cant be there! Ive got a bloosy exam to get through tomorra! And thatrs with 2 very important games of football on my mind to worry about in the venin too! Come on Witton!

witton_mad_scad :

All of Telford’s games are available to listen to live & are broadcast free of charge over the internet (BBC radio shropshire & realplayer is needed, you can get a free trial version if you don’t already have it) if you can’t make the game. The game is also being broadcast live on unibondtv(live video stream) although you have to pay a subscription fee for that so you need not miss out completely.

Match coverage usually starts 10-15 mins before kick-off

I will be leaving work early and getting up the M6 from Birmingham for the match to represent the Birmingham Albs Supporters Club. Can’t blooming wait.

Thats Great that youre coming Chris ! See you at the Game  ;D

Son coming up from Birmingham with a mate or two possibly in tow. As for pressure, I used to like it until I got my hypertention, now I worry about having a heart attack watching Witton!!!
