Well done Brian and the lads!
BRILLIANT!!!
WHS
Great win lads, that surface is a huge advantage to the home team.
Having thrown away good money in the past to watch farces played on plastic I will never again watch any competitive fixture on a plastic pitch. When will the authorities grasp the nettle and ban them?
Most pitches at the highest level are semi plastic, having stuff in the surface to hold it together. This would not have happened without plastic being tried in the first place. Personally I have nothing against plastic pitches if the bounce can be negated somewhat, it means you can use it all year round which has to have financial advantages. Anyway we won on it so it can’t be all bad!!
WHS.
After a victory is the time, to criticise, no chance of being accused of sour grapes. What is played on those surfaces may be under the same rules as football, but it is not football as we know it.
Can’t argue with the financial aspect, note I said ‘competitive fixture’. If a club wants to make money from having a plastic pitch, it should be in addition to a grass pitch, not as a replacement.
Again a great display, 100% effort by the 10 men.
Does Titch never tire ? Hard to say who shone above the rest but my choice of MOM would be between Boothy and Jamie Harrison don’t know why.
Referee was inept, so inconsistent and constantly being swayed by “Sports” constant appeals.
However our bench was reprimanded. Quite agree that plastic pitches are not in keeping with “proper” football.
As for Woods dismissal by the letter of the law yes.
That could well have cost us the game. Very dissapointed by Mr Woods. Enough said. Well done the rest of the squad.
fanatstic could not afford to lose this and fall any further behind well done all.
