kevin sanasay has signed for farsley again
My nan recently told me that my grandad played in goal for witton when he left the army in 1953. his name was thomas burns archibald, do any of you older wittoners recall him playing or do you have any programmes from that time which might have his name on? any information would be gratefully received. Thanks. ( He was scottish if that helps to ring any bells? )
Afraid to tell you that there is no record of anyone by that name playing a first team match for Witton Albion - Have even checked with the other mobs players just in case but same result.
Any info on ex wittoners Carl Rendell. & Danny Mahoney…type of players they are strengths / personality etc…?
You looking to take them out on a date or something? Not sure they’re your type… Although Rendell is closer to your height.
Thanks for taking the time to have a look for me its much appreciated.
Sat in watching the Birmingham v Middlesborough game. Guest commentator is Geoff Horsefield. I remember one home match when he had me pinned up against the wall with his hands around my throat, because I didn’t have a wage packet for him. Thankfully, Colin Rose talked some sense into him and told him to go and see Ray Ranson as to why he had no wages.
Mark Lillis is now the caretaker manager at Huddersfield.
Hopefully only until Nigel Adkins decides to take us into the Premiership
Lillis has been in charge of the youth set up at Huddersfield for a while now and is doing a great job

Spare a thought/prayer for STUART DAVEY now sadly in a hospice at Winsford. Some player he was !
Very sad to hear that news. Stuart was the best No.2 ever to put on a Witton shirt in my opinion.
GE
