Where do we go from here?

Don’t know if the names I have been told are on the list of 20 and some may be just rumours and some with clubs so dont want to just list names unfairly, my main point is we should know in a couple of days and I hope we get it right.

Jim Vince or Gary Finley I heard :stuck_out_tongue:

Good politicians answer, didn’t actually answer mine, postyreds or knutsfordian’s questions following your post but fair enough. Very akin to the general election later this week lets wait and see

Also confirmed that Gards has been released by the club apparently we did have an option on him ! so one less of the good players to start with next season.

Personally I would prefer to have lads that want to play for the club next season, Gards could have helped towards the end of last season but decided against it as I understand it. Always liked Gards and he was one of our best players but no one is bigger than the club as has been said before. Anyway the new manager will have his own ideas on players he wants to keep/bring in. UTA

Somebody involved with the club at a high level is being very unprofessional by leaking information to the general public, and the fan base.

Whoever it is should be totally ashamed of themselves, as it makes other clubs aware of players we want to sign, and of people we want to appoint, giving them the chance to gazump us.

The Gards report was on Simmo twitter and in today’s world of media it is impossible to keep news down - it does not have to come from the board but can come from many other sources !

Somebody is still leaking information!!!

This applies to leaking information to Simmo.

Announcements should only be made once all the paper work has been done and dusted, and the League and FA have confirmed that the paper work is all in order!

Simmo reports that the information has come from someone in authority at the club on both the management applications and Gards release. The first I heard was when Gards put on Facebook that he had become a free agent.

The new manager doesn’t want Gards then…

As fans all we want is to be kept in the loop as things develop at our club, and to be honest with the season we have had the club should be trying to keep fans interested and excited for next season, all the information I have heard is just rumours and 99% of it no more than people’s own imagination. So I wouldn’t be to worried about information being leaked, as said Gards himself told everyone he had left.

More like Gards doesn’t want to play for witton anymore.

He has been having a love in with Shaun Reid on Facebook and Shaun has said he will see him at pre season training so he’s off to one of our rivals.

Am I the only one who thinks that it’s good riddance to the lad who REFUSED to play for us.

On Gards I think it’s simple He loved the club but the poor handling of his indiscipline drove a wedge between us, then it seems He could not play for Sullivan and to be honest I understand that, Also think Reid is courting Gards and it may not be reciprocal as Gards could play higher than our league even as good as conference north so He won’t be short of offers, as for Witton we will move on we always have done Witton is more important than 1 person good luck Gards but UTA

Loved the club enough to refuse to come back and play when needed.

I hate my boss at work but since I take a wage home off them I crack on regardless.

Not forgetting he didn’t come out for the second half against Lairds during the promotion season - a game where a win might have edged us towards winning the title that year.

Clearly Gards loved Witton, just nowhere near as much as he loves himself unfortunately.

He’ll be missed, but i don’t recall too many teams down the ages where you look back and think “they never would have been successful without that really good rightback they had”.

I would take a team full of Jon Dawsons over a team of Anythony Gardners any day.

You never know if we had sacked Sully when we should have then maybe Gards would have come back and we might still be in the prem ? Water under the bridge now for me Robbos correct we will get a decent right full back.

tottally agree with robbo’s post,if he cared for the club like he said he could’ve helped us to try and stay up and then left and to think he was getting paid for doing nothing

I think the club said Gards wasn’t paid whilst he was not available to play.

i might be wrong but i thought the post by the chairman stated otherwise

Just checked the chairmans post and it states He did not get paid whilst he was unavailable.
